Firth of Forth Bridge Vacation Packages

The world's first major steel structure, the Firth of Forth Bridge represents a key milestone in the history of modern railway civil engineering and still holds the record as the world's longest cantilever bridge. A full-scale restoration project to return the bridge to its original construction condition was completed in 2012. In July 2015, UNESCO inscribed the Forth Bridge as the sixth World Heritage Site in Scotland. The traffic loading on the bridge is now significantly higher than expected by the engineers who designed the structure in the 1950's. This has been due to the increasing weight and number of heavy goods vehicles on UK roads. Please note we do not offer hotels or other activities in this city at this time.

Visit Firth of Forth Bridge from Edinburgh.
