Don't miss a visit to the interiors of the church, dating back to the beginning of the 11th century, and enjoy a panoramic view from the sentry walk on the roof (4/adult). Afterwards head to the beach, where you can go for a relaxing walk along the promenade, where reproductions of Van Gogh's paintings are exhibited, or for a swim in the Mediterranean Sea. Chateauneuf-du-Pape Wine Tour
- Type:Wine Tasting or Winery Tours
- Duration:10 Hours
History and wine can be enjoyed together as a perfect match on this five-hour afternoon tour. Explore the Roman town of Orange for a panoramic tour of its Roman landmarks including the Roman Arch of Triumph and the ancient theatre, the Theatre antique d'Orange. Recall the afternoon's sights while savouring a sample of the world-renowned wines of Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
Orange is renowned for its Roman architecture and its Roman theatre and is a Unesco World Heritage Site. The Theatre antique d'Orange is described as the most impressive ancient Roman theatre still existing in Europe. Playing a major role in the life of the citizens, who spent a large part of their free time there, the theatre was seen by the Roman authorities not only as a means of spreading Roman culture to the colonies, but also as a way of distracting them from political activities. The fine Triumphal Arch of Orange is said to date from the time of Augustus (the emperor during the life of Jesus Christ) and was built on the former via Agrippa to honour the veterans of the Gallic Wars and the Roman legion, Legio II Augusta.
Enjoy a wine tour as you stop at select vineyards between Orange and Chateauneuf-du-Pape and taste some of the fine cellar offerings. In a traditional shop, you will find a wide range of wines and Provencal specialities which you can purchase if you so desire. A visit to a delightful Provencal market in Orange is also available on Thursdays.

Discover villages in Luberon
- Type:Day Trips and Excursions
- Duration:5 Hours
Tour the most beautiful hilltop villages of the Luberon valley such as Roussillon and Gordes, where you can capture the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes with photostops. These picturesque villages were made famous by Peter Mayle in his book, A Year in Provence.
Luberon is said to present the best that France has to offer. Spectacular countryside with vineyards and orchards abounds and fascinating hilltop villages perched over the countryside provide outstanding natural produce. This is the landscape that so inspired the artists Van Gogh and Paul Cezanne and you can see why. After the scenic drive up into the hills, there is a stop in at the villages of Roussillon and Gorde. A gourmand experience in a Provencal market in either location is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Exceptional wine, cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables that taste like they used to can all be purchased for your enjoyment. The produce is of course wondrous, sold directly by the producers to you in the delightful atmosphere of these quaint and picturesque villages.
If you are fortunate to be visiting between June 15 and July 15, you can also breathe the scent of Provence with a stop at Senanque Abbey to take pictures of the marvellous blooming lavender fields.

Enchanting Historical Walking Tour in Avignon
- Type:Historical Sites and Interest
- Duration:2 Hours
OVERVIEWMy tour, Enchanting Avignon: History and Legend, goes beyond the typical historical walkits a journey through time, blending fascinating history with captivating legends.
My goal is to bring Avignons medieval past to life, from the grandeur of the Popes Palace to the secrets hidden in the citys ancient streets.
What sets this experience apart is the balance between historical facts, engaging anecdotes, and local insights. Youll hear the untold stories behind the citys iconic landmarks, learn about its unique Provençal culture, and discover hidden corners that most visitors overlook.
To ensure the best experience, I provide audio headsets so everyone can hear clearly, making it ideal for all travelers (you can bring your own 3.5mm earphone if you have any)
Note: I am a local guide with a passion for history, not a professional historian. Access to churches depends on their schedules and is not guaranteed (Mondays particularly).INCLUDESWalk around landmarks and streets of AvignonWhispering boxes for better communication (you can bring your own 3.5mm earphones)Visit of 2 churches (may vary due to schedules)Guide will share stories and insights about Avignons historyEXCLUDESPersonal ExpenseTickets/visit of the Pope's PalaceTickets/visit to museumsA history lesson or a comedy showMEETING AND PICKUPMeeting point16 Pl.
