Visit the Château de Chambord. The Guide will tell you the history of the Castle and its construction. The Château de Chambord is one of the most popular castles because of its French Renaissance architecture. The building was constructed (15191547) by Francis I and is nowadays the biggest castle with its 440 rooms, 282 fireplaces and 84 staircases. The castle is also known because of its open double-spiral staircase. The two spirals ascend the three floors without ever meeting. Leonardo da Vinci may have designed the staircase.

This tour is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.

The tunnels can be slippery and remain at a temperature of around 14°C/57°F, even in summer. Guests are advised to wear sturdy shoes and bring warm clothing.

The tour is in English but depending on days our guides can help and speak french, italian, portuguese and spanish. If you privatise the tour and arrange it in advance we can attribute to you a portuguese or italian or spanish or french speaking guide.

If you book the private option hotel pick-up and drop-off are included in central Paris. Please contact us in advance to arrange the pick-up address and time

Lunch is included at the winery: it is a local wine and cheese and meat (charcuteries). If winery is closed we will go to the restaurant. Please let us know in advance if any special diet restriction to inform the winery the day before.

The van can fit a stroller or a compact wheelchair, please let us know in advance at time of booking so we will book no stairs wineries. We have as well infant seats available but limited, please let us know in advance age of children.
