Paris
Paris is regarded as one of the most dynamic cities in Europe, and for good reason. The city assaults the senses, demanding to be seen, heard, touched, tasted, and smelled. Gaze at impressive monuments and savor its gourmet cheeses, chocolates, wines, and seafood. Paris is relatively small as capitals go, with many of its major sights and museums within walking distance of each other. A world of discovery awaits in every hidden corner and at all the famous sites, there is so much to explore.
Visit the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Jardin des Tuileries, Latin Quarter, Avenue des Champs Elysees, Musee d'Orsay, Place de la Concorde, Sacre Coeur, and so much more! -
Amboise
Amboise is a charming medieval town on the banks of the Loire River, fourteen miles east of Tours. Today, a small market town, it was once home of the French royal court and the birthplace of French Renaissance. Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years here. Château d'Amboise is a15th-century château, a combination of Gothic and Renaissance styles, often associated with Charles VIII. Other important sights are the Hotel de Ville dating from around 1500, the Tour de l'Horloge and the Church of St. Denis.
Explore the Château de Chenonceau, Château at Amboise, Château de Clos Lucé at Amboise, Gardens of Château Gaillard, The Domaine Royal de Château Gaillard, The Parc Leonardo da Vinci, The Gardens of Amboise, and so much more! -
Angers
The historical city of Angers is awash with renaissance architecture, an opulent perk of being the capital of Anjou, a historical province ruled by dukes and counts who wielded serious power in medieval times. The city also boasts a thriving café culture, thanks in part to the dynamic presence of its university students. From touring the châteaux to a unique twist on a botanical garden, winery tours, and excellent restaurants, there is plenty to enjoy in the charming and vibrant city of Angers.
Visit the Chateau d'Angers, Terra Botanica, Cathedral Saint Maurice d'Angers, Musee des Beaux Arts, Musee Jean Lurcat, Galerie David d'Angers, the Museum of Natural Science, and much more. -
Mont Saint Michel
A magical island topped by a gravity-defying medieval monastery, Mont-Saint-Michel is one of France's most stunning sights. For centuries it has been one of Europe's major pilgrimage destinations, and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with its breathtaking bay. Perched on a rocky, cone-shaped islet in the midst of immense sandbanks, the site, dedicated to the archangel St Michael, is surrounded by massive walls measuring more than half a mile in circumference and is connected to the shore by a causeway.
Visit Abbaye du Mont Saint-Michel, the ramparts, Grand Rue, La Mère Poulard (Restaurant), Mont Saint-Michel Pilgrimages, Musée Historique (History Museum), Musée de la Mer et de l'Écologie (Museum of the Sea and Ecology), and so much more! -
