Frankfurt is the financial capital of Germany, and for many travelers, the gateway to Europe. Frankfurt has also long been an important center for cultural and tourism activities. Its huge trade fair complex, Messe Frankfurt, hosts important events such as the Frankfurt Book Fair (the world's most important publishing event). The city is known for its exceptional number of fine museums covering art, science, and history. The Romerberg, Museum District (Museumsufer), The Palm Garden (Palmengarten), St. Bartholomew's Cathedral, The Hauptwache, Goethe House and Museum, The Frankfurt Museum of Modern Art, Zoo Frankfurt, Stadel Museum, and so much more!
