Located in the midst of a meteorite crater, the former imperial city of Nördlingen boasts a fully walkable circular city wall.
The 90-meter high church tower "Daniel" was formerly used as a watchtower.

4: Dinkelsbuhl

Dinkelsbühl could be called the "little sister" of Rothenburg - just as romantic but not so crowded. It is the perfect place to have lunch (not included), your guide can recommend a good restaurant to you.
The old town is dominated by the tower of the Gothic St. Georg-Church, a visit to the almost 60 square meter nativity scene inside is definitely worthwhile! The Dinkelsbühl Christmas market, located in the historic 'Spitalhof', is open daily from 1 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.

5: Rothenburg ob der Tauber

This world-famous medieval city will exceed all your expectations!

We can start with an approx. 1 hour guided walking tour in the very heart of the city, leading you to all the breathtaking sights, including:

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your 3-hour tour begins in central Munich, where youll meet your guide in mid-afternoon and head out into the ornamented streets of Munich's Old Town. Make sure to bundle up until your first cup of Glühwein or cider (included).

Take in the scent of spice cake as you make your way to Christkindlmarkt in Marienplatz, Munichs oldest Christmas market. Browse the stalls filled with toys, gifts, and homemade delicacies available to buy.

Continue to the Sendliger Tor market, followed by the Christmas village in Munich Residenz. Your final stop will be the Medieval Market near Odeonsplatz, where youll discover an ode to the Bavarian Christmas markets of the Middle Ages. See performances, medieval buskers, colorful costumes, and handicrafts for sale.

Along the way, learn about the history of Munichs centuries-old markets and Christmas traditions from your guide. You'll also be treated to several snacks along the way, including lebkuchen, a gingerbread-like cookie that has been a Christmas staple since the 14th century.

We end the tour in our Tourist Information shop around the corner from the Hofbrauhaus roughly four hours after the tour started.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Meet your guide and group in the morning at Marienplatz in central Munich.

Listen to a quick intro to Munich and its sights; then, stroll with your guide to the bike shop, grab your helmet, and take to the road. Pedal at a conversational pace, taking in sights such as the Odeonsplatz, Max-Joseph-Platz, and the Hofbrauhaus.

After several hours of exploring, stop for a break at the Chinese Tower beer garden and cool down with a crisp Bavarian beer and some food, if you wish (own expense). Then, return to your bike and continue the tour, looking out for the famous river surfers who ride the permanent wave in Munichs English Garden.

After enjoying half a day out in Munich, the tour ends by the Hofbrauhaus. Return your bike and helmet, and say goodbye to your guide and group.

The Residenz, a magnificent complex of buildings in Munich, was once the royal palace of the Wittelsbach monarchs of Bavaria. This sprawling palace houses over 130 rooms, including the stunning Cuvilliés Theatre and the historic Hercules Hall.

The Residenz is a testament to Bavarian history and architectural splendor, offering visitors a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the royal family. We ride through the Courtyards but do not go inside. You can do this at your own leisure after the tour. Admission is then applicable.

Here we explain the history of the Wittelsbach family and their role in putting Munich on the map.

The Maximilianeum, a grand Neo-Renaissance building, was commissioned by King Maximilian II of Bavaria in 1857. Designed by Friedrich Bürklein, it initially served as an educational institution for gifted students.

Situated on the banks of the Isar River, the Maximilianeum is a striking landmark on Maximilianstrasse, a renowned boulevard lined with Neo-Gothic palaces. We stop here for a quick photo op.

Though construction was delayed, the building was eventually completed in 1874 and has since undergone renovations, particularly after World War II.

NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE is just one of many possible destinations on your tailor-made route.

Neuschwanstein remained unfinished due to the early and mysterious death of the builder King Ludwig II of Bavaria and is certainly one of the most visited sights in Germany.

Because of the Corona crisis, the tours of the interiors were limited to 10 people. The demand far exceeds supply, so that reservable tours are almost fully booked. As a participant of our tour, however, we are happy to provide you with the coveted Skip-the-Line tickets at the original price that are available daily at the Neuschwanstein ticket office
( 15.00 per adult, children up to 17 years are free, reservation fee of 2.50 per person). THEREFORE, LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO TAKE PART IN A TOUR OF THE INTERIORS!

Your tour guide will also ensure that you are at the castle in time for the start of the tour.

A visit only from the outside is possible at any time and free of charge - we will gladly take you to the most beautiful photo spots, including the famous viewpoint 'Marienbrücke' and/or the wildly romantic Pöllat Gorge!

For people with reduced walking ability, the guided tour of the castle is not always recommended at the moment. Since the lift in the castle cannot be used due to Corona, 346 steps (and at least 500 m/0.3 miles walk) have to be managed - we'll gladly advise you!

Mount ZUGSPITZE is just one of many possible destinations on your tailor-made route.

Enjoy an unforgettable time and an overwhelming 360° panorama on Germany's highest mountain (2,962 m / 9,718 ft). Even the ride on the ultra-modern cable car is a unique experience!

Alternatively and/or for the return journey, the cog railway can be taken. The 'Glacier Cable car' between the mountain station of the cog railway and the summit can be used as often as you like.

In the summer months, you can rent a toboggan ('Zipfelbob') in the restaurant 'Sonnalpin' (subject to availability).
There or in the highest beer garden in Germany or in one of the other numerous restaurants on the Zugspitze you can enjoy varied meals for all tastes.

The historic Ludwigstraße in the district of Partenkirchen with its colourful wall paintings ("Lüftlmalerei") invites you to stroll, marvel and enjoy.
Already 2,000 years ago there was a Roman trade route between Italy and Augsburg.

6: Oberammergau

OBERAMMERGAU is just one of many possible destinations on your tailor-made route.

Let yourself be fascinated by the most beautiful and famous Alpine village in Germany.
During a 20-minute guided tour of the village, you can see the famous wall paintings ("Lüftlmalerei"), the wood carvers (who also offer wonderful Christmas cribs), as well as the Passionplay Theater, where every 10 years the world-famous Passion Games - Corona conditionally only in 2022 - are performed.
Afterwards, you will be happy to explore the place on your own and find numerous inexpensive opportunities for shopping!

7: Passionstheater

The PASSION THEATER and the Oberammergau ALPINE COASTER are just two of many possible destinations on your tailor-made route.

From 21st May 2022 the world famous and because of the 2020 crises postponed Oberammergau Passion play will take place here.
With a capacity of 4.500 spectators this theater is the world's largest open air stage with covered auditorium!

The nearby chairlift takes you through the magnificent alpine world to a cosy mountain restaurant and to the start of the adventurous ALPINE COASTER at 1,270 m (4.170 ft) altitude: With the 1st world's longest weatherproof toboggan run with magnetic brakes, you can reach the valley at a length of 2,600 meters (1,6 miles) with breathtaking views and adventurous curves.

12: Schloss Herrenchiemsee

HERRENCHIEMSEE PALACE is just one of many possible destinations on your tailor-made route.

After a romantic cruise across the Chiemsee, the largest of the Bavarian lakes, you can visit the most ambitious project of the Bavarian King Ludwig II on the secluded Herreninsel: Had he not been restricted by budget issues, he would have built a copy of the Versailles Palace on this island. But even the middle section, only completed from the outside, will amaze you.
