Trip Summary

  • Frankfurt
    Frankfurt

Frankfurt is the financial capital of Germany, and for many travelers, the gateway to Europe. A closer look reveals there is much more to offer; from arts, outdoors, and shopping, to historic building and high-rises. Frankfurt has also long been an important center for cultural and tourism activities. Its huge trade fair complex, Messe Frankfurt, hosts important events such as the Frankfurt Book Fair (the world's most important publishing event). The city is known for its exceptional number of fine museums covering art, science, and history. The Romerberg, Museum District (Museumsufer), The Palm Garden (Palmengarten), St. Bartholomew's Cathedral, The Hauptwache, Goethe House and Museum, The Frankfurt Museum of Modern Art, Zoo Frankfurt, Stadel Museum, and so much more!

  • Koblenz
    Koblenz

Koblenz has a rich history, starting over 2000 years ago. The city is surrounded by four low-mountain ranges and forms a triangle of the Moselle and Rhine rivers. Directly where Rhine River meets the Moselle River is one of its major landmarks, the so-called German Corner (Deutsches Eck). On top of the hill at the Rhine shore the old fortress Ehrenbreitstein overlooks Koblenz and the German Corner. Strolling around the Old Town feels like walking in an open air museum. The many statues and monuments on the squares around town are evidence of the long history that the city is known for, a must-see for all visitors. Visit the Church of Our Lady, German Corner (Deutsches Eck), Fortress (Festung) Ehrenbreitstein, Deutschherrenhaus, Koblenz Palace, Deutscher Kaiser, Schängelbrunnen, Görresplatz, Florinsmarkt, Jesuitenplatz, and so much more!

  • Erfurt
    Erfurt

This German central city is the capital city of Turingia. Although not a very popular tourist destination, Erfurt definitely deserves a visit, mostly because it was almost perfectly preserved over the wars. Its medieval aspect is given by the old houses, churches, bridges designed in Renaissance and Baroque styles. The city symbols are the two churches, Mariendom and Severikirche. You can spend pleasant time in Erfurt, walking on the Krämerbrücke bridge (1325) or on the winding cobblestone alleys.

Visit Erfurt Cathedral, Severikirche, the Merchants' Bridge, the Augustinian Monastery, Egapark, and more!

  • Leipzig
    Leipzig

Goethe once dubbed Leipzig the `little Paris` of Eastern Europe, though today`s crop of locals are more likely to compare its budding arts and tech sectors to that of post-Wall Berlin in the early `90s, with a raw and invigorating subculture of young, high-energy creatives. Over the past two decades, Leipzig has again become a destination, as it was years ago when it was known for its intellectual and cultural life. Leipzig is a metropolis that grew rich from hosting international trade fairs, publishing books, and processing cotton. Now, fast forward to today, the New York Times has included Leipzig on its top ten cities to visit. Explore Market Square, the Old Town Hall, St Thomas Church, St Nicholas Church, Battle of the Nations Monument, Madlerpassage, Coffe Baum Coffee Museum, Leipzig Zoo, Museum of Fine Arts, and so much more!

  • Berlin
    Berlin

The German capital holds a world cultural record with three opera houses, two concert halls and eight symphony orchestras. This is the heart of Germany, with a stoic beat that echoes through grand public buildings, glorious museums and theatres, urbane restaurants, bustling pubs and raucous nightclubs. Today, structures of steel and glass tower over streets, and parks and gardens are again lush. With its field of new skyscrapers and hip clubs and fashion boutiques, post millennium Berlin has recast itself as the continent's capital of cool.

Visit Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Berlin Cathedral, Museum Island, Berlin TV Tower, Holocaust Memorial, Berlin Wall Memorial, Check Point Charlie and so much more!
