We will visit a lovely quaint winery, being surrounded by vast Corfiot vineyards.

The hospitable owners of the winery will introduce us to the world of wine and grapes, inform us on the significance of wine for the everyday life of Corfiots, the varieties of grapes cultivated on the island of Corfu as well as the types of wines produced. We will be guided through their winery, and we will be able to see the whole process of how grapes turn into wine, we will learn the well-kept secrets of a good wine producer and finally we will visit the basement or root cellar where wine is being stored in a dark and dry place, protecting it from direct light.

The Golden Orange, this unique product growing solely on the island of Corfu, constitutes a tiny fruit which was brought to Corfu from the Far East over the last century. Its rich history will lead us about 150 years back to time, when an English nature lover and nobleman, named Charlie Merlin, visited Corfu, and inspired the locals cultivate this Japanize fruit.

We have planned to visit a kumquat processing workshop, in order to learn about the history of kumquat as well as which are the best kumquat recipes and the nutritional benefits of that fruit. Holy Monastery of Panagia Vlacherna

This picturesque church was built in the 17th century and around 1980 it was abandoned by the last monk who lived there. This is a very small religious church with a two-storey bell tower that "floats" on the footbridge.

2: Kaiser's Throne

Emperor Wilhelm the 2nd was attracted by Corfu Island. Consequently he decided in 1907 to buy the Achilleion Palace from Princess Sissy of Austria and create it his residence on the island. As he actively assisted in the excavations of Agios Theodoros in Garitsa bay, there are many buildings and landmarks that bear his name, such as the beautiful Kaiser Bridge which was built for direct access from the Achilleion Palace to the beach which was partially destroyed during the Second World War

Shortly before his death, during 1914, he decided to leave a viewpoint as a unique gift for the locals and visitors to the island. That was his private observatory, where he found peace and enjoyed the amazing vista and breathtaking, surrounding beauty of oil-rich Corfu.

The Kaisers observatory or throne attracts visitors from all over the world for its stunning views and the detail that makes it stand out.

3: Palaiokastritsa

One of the most famous attractions of Corfu are the caves of Paleokastritsa, each of them has a mystery surrounding it. One of them is named Nausicaa, the name of the daughter of the king of Corfu who saved Odysseus the king of Ithaca as described by Homer in Greek mythology. Enjoy this unique experience with us and we can definitely tell you that this unique environment with its crystal clear waters will blow your mind.

An amazing boat experience with transparent turquoise crystal waters in Paleokastritsa awaits you. We will help you board the small boat to explore the central west coast which is full of rock formations and small caves. 4: Paleokastritsa Monastery

The church is of single aisled basilica rhythm with a wooden roof and it is considered a sample of the monastic architecture. A typical bell-tower of Ionian style is located in the courtyard. Priceless pictures of Byzantine and post-Byzantine period decorate the interior, while a sample of the wealth of the monastery one can also notice in the small museum that operates in its interior. In the museum of the Monastery of Palaiokastritsa you will also see a skeleton of a whale which is said to have killed a fisherman during the 19th century.

In the 19th century, during the British rule the monastery was used as a military hospital, while during the same period the road towards the Monastery of Palaiokastritsa was constructed.

New Fortress of Corfu (Pass by)

Our tour begins from nearby the New Fortress of Corfu town which is a Venetian fortress built on the hill of St. Mark in Corfu in stages, at the beginning of 16th century. The current buildings which exist within the fortress were built by the British during their rule of the island (181563).
The Venetian fortifications were later expanded by the British and the French to help defend against a possible Ottoman attack.
