First stop is at the archaeological site of Nemea with the temple of Zeus and the ancient stadium. The kids will have a short introduction to the Nemean games and have the possibility to run in the ancient Stadium like the athletes did 3000 years ago. We then sit down and listen to the story of Hercules and the Nemean Lion told by our professional storyteller in the stunning environment of the ancient site.

The tour continuous to Koutsi where you will visit an organic vinegar producer. The kids will learn about organic cultivation and vinegar production. Of course they have the chance to taste some balsamic vinegar.
Together with a local chef the kids will prepare a part of their picnic. Easy cooked traditional recipes like Moustokouloura, Tiganopsoma or bread baked in our old style wood oven. Depending on the season they will pick up fresh rocket salad, grapes or other ingredients to prepare a nice salad.

The Corinth Canal is a narrow, man-made waterway in Greece that connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. Completed in 1893, it cuts through the Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from mainland Greece. The canal is about 6.4 kilometers long and only 21 meters wide at its base, making it too narrow for modern large ships. Despite this, it remains an important historical and tourist site, offering a stunning view of steep rock walls and serving as a symbol of engineering ambition in ancient and modern times.

Sunken city, Little Theatre of Epidaurus.

Probably the best outing of our group, due to its unique combination of history, culture, gastronomy, folklore, fun and entertainment.

Our incredible experience begins at Yialasi Beach, located a short stroll from the center of Epidaurus. We will paddle westward to the famous Sunken City, also known as Argolidas Lost Atlantis, with a great view of the imposing Volcano of Methana.
The city was built 500 AC. You can see the remains of it and in some places even the ancient breakwater is still preserved. Walls, foundations of buildings, amphorae of huge dimensions and paved sections are sunken, meters below sea level, and only few meters away from shore. Being only two meters in depth, makes it a unique location for underwater site-seeing, snorkeling and underwater pictures.
Once we reach the seabed, we will give you masks to swim among the ancient ruins, take photos, observe the unique colorful fish and experience for yourselves the aura and unique healing energy of Epidaurus (Epidaurus: the place where the aura works).

When well manage to convince you to move on, our next destination is the Little Theatre of Epidaurus. The Little Theatre of Epidaurus is placed in an area called Nisi, near the port of Palea Epidaurus. It used to be the theatre of the ancient city-state and apart from drama performances, it also hosted religious and political celebrations. This theatre was discovered in the early 1970s, under a field of olive trees and its restoration process continues till today.
Its construction started in the 4th century B.C. and was originally built to cover the needs of this small city-state, so its size was not big. It had 9 tiers and 18 rows of seats and could host about 2,000 spectators. Some seats have inscriptions which show that the theatre was dedicated to god Dionysus and was built in sections.
This theatre was totally reformed in the Roman times: the orchestra became semi-circular and the seats were reordered. However, it is believed that the small theatre of Epidaurus was in function for only seven centuries since its construction, because the historian Pausanias, who visited the area in the middle of the 2nd century BC, didn't mention anything about it.
After several excavations and much restoration work performed over the last decades, the Epidaurus Little Theatre hosts today the annual Greek Festival, celebrated in summer with music, dance and theatre performances. There are seats for 800 spectators and work is done to restore more of them. The performances are mostly held in modern or ancient Greek.

At the end of our journey, we will continue through gastronomy, by visiting Athina EcoFarm. There, we will relax, rest and enjoy an amazing meal made of local organic products, all cultivated in the area according to the ancient way.

Having learned about ancient Greek heritage in cooking, cultivating and harvesting, we will return to our starting point, after an unforgettable journey among history, taste and culture.

The Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympieion or Columns of the Olympian Zeus, is a former colossal temple at the center of the Greece capital Athens. It was dedicated to "Olympian" Zeus, a name originating from his position as head of the Olympian gods. Construction began in the 6th century BC during the rule of the Athenian tyrants, who envisaged building the greatest temple in the ancient world, but it was not completed until the reign of the Roman Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD, some 638 years after the project had begun. During the Roman period the temple -that included 104 colossal columns- was renowned as the largest temple in Greece and housed one of the largest cult statues in the ancient world.

5: Panathenaic Stadium

The Panathenaic Stadium or Kallimarmaro is a multi-purpose stadium in Athens, Greece. One of the main historic attractions of Athens,it is the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble.

A stadium was built on the site of a simple racecourse by the Athenian statesman Lykourgos (Lycurgus) c.330 BC, primarily for the Panathenaic Games.The stadium was excavated in 1869 and hosted the Zappas Olympics in 1870 and 1875. After being refurbished, it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the first modern Olympics in 1896. It was used for various purposes in the 20th century and was once again used as an Olympic venue in 2004. It is the finishing point for the annual Athens Classic Marathon.It is also the last venue in Greece from where the Olympic flame handover ceremony to the host nation takes place.

The Arch of Hadrian, most commonly known in Greek as Hadrian's Gate, is a monumental gateway resembling in some respects a Roman triumphal arch. Passing through endless olive groves, we arrive at a modern mill, where we wander to the self-owned groves and we get to know all the secrets of the olive tree.The next stop is the interior of the mill, where the fruits are transferred into the mill to become olive oil. We learn all about the stages of processing of olive fruit into pure olive oil and our experience ends by tasting unique varieties of products, like pure olive oil on fresh bread, fruits of olive and Greek feta cheese served with extra virgin olive oil, olive pâté, sweet and traditional olive liqueur.

Walk the paths that Saint Paul traversed, visiting the ancient market and the Bema of Saint Paula prominent rostrum where he preached to the citizens of Corinth. Explore the ruins of this former city-state, reflecting on the rich history that shaped early Christianity.

3: Diakofto

Our next stop is at Diakofto, where you'll board the Cog Railway (Odontotos) that connects Kalavryta with Diakofto, traveling through the breathtaking Vouraikos Canyon. This route is renowned for being one of the most beautiful natural sights in Greece and has been celebrated as one of the most spectacular railway rides in the Balkans.

The train journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, winding along streams and climbing the steep narrow gorge into the mountains. You'll pass through tunnels, over waterfalls, and along cliffs, surrounded by lush forests of pine and oleander. When the incline becomes particularly steep, the train switches from a regular track to a cog system for added stability. The scenic ride concludes in the charming town of Kalavryta, offering an unforgettable experience of Greece's stunning natural beauty.

4: Kastria Cave of the Lakes

Our driver will meet you in Kalavryta to continue the tour at the mysterious, magnificent, and unique "Cave of the Lakes," a rare creation of nature. Inside, youll find a total of 13 small and large lakes, each displaying different colors depending on the oxides present in the rocks.

You will see the stunning "hanging bridge" and the "waterfalls" cascading through the cave, giving you the sensation of walking along a floating corridor. You'll also admire the unusual stalactite formations. In winter, when the snow melts, the cave transforms into a subterranean river with natural waterfalls. The explored length of the cave is 1,980 meters, with 500 meters currently developed for visitors.

The exploration begins through an artificial tunnel that leads you directly to the second floor, where the views are truly awe-inspiring. The passage between the lakes is made by elevated artificial bridges. After the cave tour, we will make a stop for lunch in the picturesque village of Kalavryta.

2: Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos)

We continue to reach at Ancient Corinth which was one of Saint Pauls beloved cities. Apostle Paul is also Corinth patron saint. We will have the chance to visit the Ancient Market and the Bema of Apostle Paul or Galionas, a large elevated rostrum standing prominently in the center of the Roman Forum of ancient Corinth, from where the citys officials addressed the public (probably because of the monuments connection to Saint Paul, the Bema was transformed into a Christian church during the Byzantine period). We will walk at the same paths that Apostle of Nations walked and preached hundreds of years earlier.

Kechries (Pass by)

Our next stop will be at 'Kechrias Port. Around 52 AD, Apostle Paul arrived from Athens to Corinth. He stayed in Corinth for eighteen months, establishing and consolidating the Church of Corinth. Then, his next journey began, from Kechrias port. Next station is Ephesus and his final destination Syria. It is said that In Kehreas he shaved his head because he had made a vow. With great emotion he parted with his brothers in Christ of Corinth, who accompanied him to the port of Kenchreon. After our visit, we will make a short stop for a cup of coffee and then we will return back to Athens. The duration of the tour is about 5 hours
