1: Nisiros

Leave the port of Kardamena, pass through Giali Island and arrive in Nisyros after an hour cruise where a bus awaits your arrival to take you to the volcano crater.

2: Nisyros Volcano

The volcano on the island of Nisyros is the youngest one in Greece. It is an active volcano as are the ones at Methana, on Milos Island and on Santorini Island. Most of Nisyros is mountainous, volcanic and very fertile. The island is composed of volcanic rock formations that were formed by previous volcanic activity.
The various rock formations (e.g. basalt) have been used as construction material in various buildings such as the Palaiokastro and the bell tower of the Church of Agios Ioannis Theologos located near Nikia. The island has been formed by lava. The rocks are covered by pyroclastic deposits and volcanic mud. Two possible eruptions occurred several millennia ago, estimated around 25,000 years back.
The largest crater of the volcano, named Polivotis, has a diameter of 260m and 30m depth. There are another 5 younger craters in the region, the largest of which is Stefanos with a diameter of 30m and a 30m depth. The valley that surrounds the volcano is 2,400m long and 950m wide.

Arriving back into the port of Nisyros you have the opportunity to visit the town of Mandraki. All our tours include pickup from the street of your hotel or from a point very close to your hotel. If for any reason there is a change in your pickup point or time, we will contact you via E-mail and/or phone call.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Kos Town, Greece.

You will be picked-up from your hotel by bus. Our first stop will be at Kos town centre, where we will visit the "Eleftherias" square, the Public Market, the Archeological Museum and the Mosque of Nefterdar. Then, we will visit the famous Platanos square, with the famous plane tree, where Hippocrates, the father of the medicine, used to teach his students. After tis guided tour, you will have some free time to enjoy a refreshment or for some shopping.

2: Asklepion

On next, we will be transferred by bus, to the most significant archeological site, Asklepion, which was dedicated to Asclepius, the God of Healing.

Liamis Dive Centre, Liamis dive boat

Our 25 meters long boat, with a shaded deck and a spacious sun deck (Liamis Dive Boat-Apollon) is in Kos harbour, 50 meters away from the Dolphins roundabout. And we depart every morning, wind permit it and availability, at around 09:00 a.m. and we are back in Kos at around 14:30.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We depart from Kos at around 09:00 and travel by boat to the island of Pserimos. Upon arrival, we anchor in a calm and sheltered bay with clear, shallow waters.
Guests can then go snorkeling at their own pace using the provided equipment, or relax on the boats sun deck and enjoy the sea views.
During the stop, introductory scuba diving also takes place in the same area with certified instructors, but snorkeling guests do not participate and are free to enjoy their own experience.
We remain in the same location for several hours, allowing plenty of time for swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, and relaxation before returning to Kos in the afternoon.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Departing from Kos at approximately 09:00, this half-day family-run boat trip takes you to Pserimos Island for a guided introduction to scuba diving. Return to Kos in the afternoon. Scuba diving is often highlighted by guests as one of the most memorable parts of their holiday in Kos. Upon boarding, guests receive a safety and equipment briefing covering breathing techniques, diving procedures, and essential instructions for beginners. Guests are divided into small groups of 45 participants, each supervised by 2 certified PADI instructors for safety and personal attention. The dive takes place in a calm, sheltered bay with shallow waters reaching a maximum depth of 5 meters, ideal for beginners, with excellent visibility for a safe underwater experience. The first dive lasts around 2025 minutes and is fully guided. After the dive, guests return to the boat and enjoy a relaxing break.
