We will trace what remains of it and have a glimpse of its history through the monuments of the district, also commemorating the tragedy that almost put an end to it. One of my main fields of research is the Jewish heritage and monuments of East-Central Europe. I have been to synagogues and Jewish cemeteries all around the region: in Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, so I see and present the Hungarian Jewish heritage in a broader context with thorough understanding of the subject.

I recommend you to look at the Parliament Building from outside, houses in classical and Art Nouveau style and the St.Stepen's Cathedral in the Innercity. The old underground will take us to the Heroes Square and the Vajdahunyad Castle. We can look around in the Jewish district, too. It is worth going to the Buda side, an escalator or a public bus will take us to the Castle District where we are going to see the former Royal Palace, the old Baroque houses with gothic elements, the famous Matthias Church and the picturesque view from the Fishermens Bastion.
