10 minutes -Admission Ticket Free2: DingleDingle Town is the only town on the Dingle Peninsula, it sits on the Atlantic coast. Principal industries in the town are tourism, fishing and agriculture1 hour -Admission Ticket Free3: Fahan BeeHive HutsThere are beehive houses, or clochán, all over County Kerry, including at the spectacular Skellig Michael. But this particular group is said to be the most remarkable in the country.
The exact age of the houses is uncertain, and different theories date them anywhere from the eighth to 12th centuries AD. Its likely hermit monks and followers of Saint Peter once lived in them, though pagans may have also called some of the cone-shaped structures home even earlier.30 minutes -Admission Ticket Free4: Cashel MurphyThe Dingle Peninsula is particularly rich in prehistoric sites- Cashel Murphy, an archaeological site that protected a small pre-Celtic community.
It was home to a small colony.
It is structured by stepped drystone walls. Inside were 5 beehive-shaped huts (similar to those on Fahan or Skellig Michael). At the time, these huts were home to entire families.
The site also had a pen for animals (presumably pigs, sheep and chickens).
Surprisingly, Cashel Murphy also boasts an underground passageway, which in the past was used to store large quantities of food supplies. A significant advantage for coping with the harsh Irish winters.
According to archaeologists, the underground was also used by families as a hiding place from potential enemies.
According to the researchers, Druids performed numerous rituals here until they slowly converted to Christianity from 450 AD onwards.30 minutes -Admission Ticket Not Included5: Slea Head DriveThe Slea Head Loop is a 38km/24 mile route that starts and ends in Dingle Town and that takes in many of the main attractions on the Dingle Peninsula.2 hours -Admission Ticket Free6: Dun Chaoin PierDunquin Pier is located in stunning scenery on a coastal stretch framed by huge cliffs. A narrow road winds its way down to the pier, where the shortest ferry connection to Blasket Islands goes.30 minutes -Admission Ticket Free7: Gallarus OratoryThe Gallarus Oratory (Irish: Séipéilín Ghallarais) is a chapel on the Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry, Ireland. It has been presented variously as an early-Christian stone church by antiquary Charles Smith, in 1756; a 12th-century Romanesque church by archaeologist Peter Harbison in 1970; a shelter for pilgrims by the same in 1994. The local tradition prevalent at the time of Charles Smith attributed it to one Griffith More, being a funerary chapel built by him or his family at their burial place.
The oratory overlooks the harbour at Ard na Caithne on the Dingle Peninsula.30 minutes -Admission Ticket Free8: Conor PassThe Conor Pass is one of the highest mountain passes in Ireland, and provides the most dramatic and scenic way of crossing from the north to south coast of the Dingle Peninsula. This narrow, twisting road runs for 12kms between the town of Dingle on the south and Kilmore Cross on the north of the peninsula, where roads fork to Cloghane/Brandon or Castlegregory. The views from the road are breathtaking, with a glaciated landscape of mountains, corrie lakes and a broad sweeping valley spread out below.30 minutes -Admission Ticket FreeADDITIONAL INFOInfants and small children can ride in a pram or strollerService animals allowedPublic transportation options are available nearbySpecialized infant seats are availableSuitable for all physical fitness levelsTotal tour duration includes the travel time from one location to anotherNot wheelchair accessibleThis tour/activity will have a maximum of 7 travelersCANCELLATION POLICYFor a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.(For information purpose only - definite start times will show on voucher, once confirmed) -

It is likely that the Irish chieftain ODonoghue Mór built it in the fifteenth century.
Legend has it that ODonoghue still slumbers under the waters of the lake. Every seven years, on the first morning of May, he rises on his magnificent white horse. If you manage to catch a glimpse of him you will enjoy good fortune for the rest of your life.
Ross Castle was the last place in Munster to hold out against Cromwell. Its defenders, then led by Lord Muskerry, took confidence from a prophecy holding that the castle could only be taken by a ship. Knowing of the prophecy, the Cromwellian commander, General Ludlow, launched a large boat on the lake. When the defenders saw it, this hastened the surrender and the prophecy was fulfilledADDITIONAL INFOTravelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitnessMinimum age is 4 yearsNot wheelchair accessibleThis tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelersCANCELLATION POLICYFor a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.(For information purpose only - definite start times will show on voucher, once confirmed) -

OVERVIEWBeat the crowds and enjoy natures tranquility on this private tour of Killarney National Park. This can be extended to a longer walk if desired.
The cathedral was designed by Augustus Welby Pugin who came over to Killarney from London, and building commenced in 1842. During the great famine the unfinished building was used as a shelter for starving people who came in from the countryside. The lovely thatched cottage Deenagh Lodge which once served as a gate lodge is now a popular tea rooms during the summer months.
Queen Victoria was a visitor to this area back in 1861 arriving in Killarney by train, a new age travel as the railway first opened in Killarney in 1853. Sika deer were introduced to the area from Wicklow in 1865, and there is now a good number of them. The native red deer are a bigger attraction they came close to extinction but thankfully there now is a good size herd in the National Park.
The year 1969 was an exciting one as Charles De Gaulle spent nearly two weeks in a cottage nearby with a big security presence. The film Ryans Daughter was filmed in Dingle, but the love scene was done in the National Park. Not surprising as the scenery speaks for itself.
