Enjoy a wonderful stay in Rome (the Eternal City, with its stunning architecture like the Colosseum and the Roman Forum and delicious food), and after that, drive southern Italy to Sorrento (overlooking the Bay of Naples, this coastal town is famous for its Limoncello liquor. Its also a good base for visiting the ancient sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum). Drive to Naples to drop off the car and take your flight returning home.
