3: Mirista

After swimming and taking photos, we proceed to our next point, closer to the entrance to the bay, called Miriste lagoon.

Guarded by Fort Arza, it is considered the place with the cleanest water in the entire bay, which is visible at first sight.

We will stay here a little longer to enjoy the sounds and smells of nature, as well as the taste of homemade wine made especially for you.

Moreover, you will have the opportunity to snorkel and explore the underwater world close to the Zanjic island.

4: Rose

We continue the tour by returning to the bay, where we will stop to hear the story of a submarine tunnel - one of only three in all of Montenegro.

The tunnel stretches for a hundred meters and is about ten meters wide, and the depth of the sea in it is from 3.5 to more than five meters.

After an exciting story about this hidden giant, we will pass by a charming place called Rose and return to the place of departure.

Travelers are picked up in the port of Kotor and will take a walk (10 minutes) together with the tour guide to the starting point for the unmissable kayaking adventure

WHAT TO EXPECT

The starting point of the kayak tour is the beach, located next to the city park and only 100 meters from the port of Kotor and the old town, offering a beautiful view of the entrance to the Bay of Kotor.

Upon arrival at the starting point, tour participants will be briefed by the guides on safety equipment and how to handle the kayak. After a short training and the definition of some rules, which the participants must respect, the guided tour along the coast starts towards the Glavati beach. Walking along the coast, tour participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the beautiful palaces, churches, cathedrals, located in Dobrota, and which belong to medieval architecture. Upon arrival at the beach, the main participants will have the opportunity to rest, enjoy swimming and snorkeling. After that, they return to the order side of the bay, where they will get acquainted with the buildings and churches of Prcanj and Muo, and enjoy the beautiful view of the old town of Kotor, and the ramparts, as well as the high hills rising above the Bay. 1: Blue Cave

The tour starts at a meeting point and the sail through a beautiful bay of Kotor starts. In this part of the tour the guests enjoy a beautiful scenery of Kotor bay as well as the panoramic view on the old fisherman villages (Muo, Pranj, Stoliv). The sail towards the Blue Cave lasts about 1 hour. As we arrive to the Blue cave with the speed boat, we sail inside and make a swimm and photo break (20 min) inside of a Montenegrian natural phenomenon of intact nature. The interaction of sunlight and Adriatic sea make the unique turquoise color after which the cave is know for.

The island Our Lady of the Rocks is a beautiful 15th century artificial Island built by a human hand. It is a must see place in a heart of the picturesque Kotor bay. We make a stop at the Our Lady of the Rocks Island so the guests have an opportunity to visit a small 17th century built church on the island. The guests spend 20minutes of free time on the island. The entrance to the small church is optional and the guests who decide to enter, buy the tickets for the church on spot (2) .

Saint George (Pass by)

n front of Perast there are two beautiful islands. One of them, Saint Georgie, with the eponymous Benedictine monastery from the 12th century, is a natural island. The largest part of the island occupies a cemetery where countless inhabitants of Perast and other towns of Boka are buried. The Benedictine priests have planted numerous cypresses, the symbols of death and disappearance, which emerged despite the belief that nothing can grow or prosper on the island due to salt water and a curse.

The island was inspiration of the famous Swiss painter Beklin for his famous image of "The Dead Island".

Mamula Fortress (Pass by)

Mamula is small island with fortress located at the entrance to the Boka Kotorska bay. Fortress is built in XIX century and is used like prison during I and II World War. Now is closed for public due to renovation and making of elite hotel

1: Former Submarine Tunnel

Cut into the steep banks of the Lutica there are three tunnels. Although the tunnels were built during Yugoslavia, Lutica was an important military base during the First and Second World Wars as well as during the Cold War. The tunnels were used to hide and repair submarines and ships. The length of the tunnel is up to fifty meters, width 7 meters. The average depth of the tunnel is about eight meters, and the depth around the exit from the tunnel increases to thirty meters. Also in the submarine tunnel there is a whole complex of underground tunnels, in which there was technical equipment needed for servicing and repair of submarines.

Our Lady of the Rock is beautiful island made by people who used to live in Perast. The story says that two fishermen from Perast have found Our Lady Icon on the rock sticking out from the sea. People promised they will make island and church dedicated to Our Lady of the Rocks. And here it is, glorious church with museum on the small island. Our travelers will have opportunity to visit both church and museum.

Perast (Pass by)

Baroque Perast is a must visit place in the Bay of Kotor. The UNESCO protected town with its magnificent Venetian Gothic waterfront buildings has a turbulent past. During the period when the interior of the Boka Bay was ruled by the Venetian Republic, and the outside belonged to the Ottoman Empire, Perast had a remarkable strategic significance. In that period Perast was very rich and almost all impressive buildings were built before the 19th century, in Baroque style, which gives it a special significance. After the fall of the Venetian Republic and the Napoleonic Wars, Perast become under the Austro-Hungarian administration. Perast loses the defensive role, privileges and economic power and begins its 200 years long dying period. Although Perast had only 350 inhabitants, there were 18 churches and 19 palaces in it. The symbol of the city is the church of Saint Nicholas with its impressive 55 meter high bell tower, proudly above the building. Unfortunately, because of the lack of money, it was never finished.

6: Our Lady of the Rocks

Our Lady of the Rock is beautiful island made by people who used to live in Perast. The story says that two fishermen from Perast have found Our Lady Icon on the rock sticking out from the sea. People promised they will make island and church dedicated to Our Lady of the Rocks. And here it is, glorious church with museum on the small island. Our travelers will have opportunity to visit both church and museum.

Perast (Pass by)

Baroque Perast is a must visit place in the Bay of Kotor. The UNESCO protected town with its magnificent Venetian Gothic waterfront buildings has a turbulent past. During the period when the interior of the Boka Bay was ruled by the Venetian Republic, and the outside belonged to the Ottoman Empire, Perast had a remarkable strategic significance. In that period Perast was very rich and almost all impressive buildings were built before the 19th century, in Baroque style, which gives it a special significance. After the fall of the Venetian Republic and the Napoleonic Wars, Perast become under the Austro-Hungarian administration. Perast loses the defensive role, privileges and economic power and begins its 200 years long dying period. Although Perast had only 350 inhabitants, there were 18 churches and 19 palaces in it. The symbol of the city is the church of Saint Nicholas with its impressive 55 meter high bell tower, proudly above the building. Unfortunately, because of the lack of money, it was never finished.

Fort Verige (Pass by)

The narrowest part of the bay - Verige is about 300m wide. Verige divides the interior from the outer gulfs. On the left side of the Verige is the church Church of Our Lady of Angels. Although behind the door are written years 1654 and 1685, it is believed that the church is built earlier, and those years are years of big renovation.

In 1585. citizens of Perast have built up the walls with loopholes around the church, making this place strategically important fortress for the defense of their town. The church was destroyed in 1654 during an attack on the Turks in Perast, but was restored in the same year.

From this spot, if necessary, people have raised and stretched "verige", iron chains, to block the entrance to the inner bay of Boke. Because of this, name for this narrow is Verige - meaning chains

WHAT TO EXPECT

Make your way directly to the meeting point in Kotor, or request pickup from your accommodations. Meet your guide and small group of fellow paddlers and get ready to explore the Adriatic Coasts Lustica Peninsula.

After a short drive to the launch point, your guide provides a safety briefing before you get into the water. Paddle your way to a number of geological formations along the coast. Explore some of the coastlines many caves, including two large caverns known as the Blue Caves. Along the way you can take the opportunity to jump out and swim and snorkel in the clear water.

Your experience ends with a drop-off back at the meeting point in Kotor.

The Blue Cave Kayak & SUP Tour is an exploration of the Adriatic Coast on the Lustica Peninsula. The tour visits a number of geological formations extended over 2.5 kilometers of coastline, including many caves. There are two large Blue Caves one with cavernous entrances, another accessible only in a prone position and a number of smaller ones.

The clear, undulating blue-green water is perfect for snorkeling, cliff jumping and underwater photography. This tour is the only sustainable way to explore the caves and the area. A 7:30am departure is recommended when possible, in as the sea state is calmer, temperature cooler and there is little boat traffic.

After pick up at one of the meeting points in Kotor or Tivat, we drive to Veslo campground (40 minutes). After a safety briefing and launch, we are on the water for about 3 hours. This tour is moderately difficult, requiring 1.5 hours paddling; the balance of the tour is given to swimming, snorkeling and exploring.

We start with a captivating trip along the waters of Kotor Bay, enabling our guests to examine its magnificent coastline, which is adorned with multiple ancient fishermen villages, lavishing vegetation, and other natural and architectural wonders. a nice dip inside the Blue Cave, a natural phenomenon that's been created by waves crashing for thousands of years at the Lustica peninsula. We will make a brief stop next to Mamula Island, on which the prison was made in 1853. We continue to one of the three submarine tunnels used during the Second World War to hide and repair submarines. And at the end, we will see the island Our lady of the rocks. This is a man-made islet, built upon a crag that bore the icon of the Holy Mother Mary. We'll make sure that you have the best possible time with us and bring home amazing memories!

Mamula Fortress (Pass by)

Mamula (also known as Lastavica) is an uninhabited islet in the Adriatic Sea, within the southwestern Montenegrin municipality of Herceg Novi.

Mamula is located between Prevlaka and Lutica peninsulas at the entrance to the Boka Kotorska bay. This small islet is of circular shape, and has 200m in diameter. It is 3.4 nautical miles (6.3 km) away from Herceg Novi.

3: Our Lady of the Rocks

Our Lady of the Rocks (Serbian: Gospa od krpjela, pronounced [spa d kpjla]) is one of the two islets off the coast of Perast in Bay of Kotor, Montenegro (the other being Sveti ore Island). It is an artificial island created by bulwark of rocks and by sinking old and seized ships loaded with rocks.[1] The Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rocks (Italian: Chiesa della Madonna dello Scarpello) is the largest building on the islet; it has a museum attached. There is also a small gift shop close to the church and a navigation light at the western end of the islet
