After pickup and short welcome and briefing about some of the main happening during this journey, we are ready to drive.

Our Arctic TeslaX is comfortable and with a fantastic panoramic window, you can see almost all directions, - No other car has this kind of solution.

First we visit Polaria to see live animals from the sea. Next we go to the south part of the Island to visit our beach area (Telegraf bukta) with a super nice view to mountains and other islands. After short walking we are heading up Prestvannet lake in the middle of the Island. This is a beautiful area for a relaxed walk watching birds (summer) or Skiing winter. After a short stop for pictures we drive to Polar museum to learn more about polar expeditions. We go for lunch before visiting our famous Church (Ishavskatedralen).

The route is chosen according to the weather, snow conditions and the wishes of the group. If the weather allows, we'll enjoy homemade chocolate cake and hot drinks on the trail while admiring the views. Otherwise, we'll gather around the open fire in our cozy Lavvo after the hike.

Our Alaskan huskies are born and raised as working dogs, and their welfare always comes first. Every hike is adapted to the dogs' age, fitness and wellbeing, and our experienced handlers carefully rotate the dogs between activities and rest.

WHAT TO EXPECT

After a 5-minute drive to the top of the Tromsø island, we first learn how to use the snowshoes and then we start walking into the forest.

Our guide will lead you through mostly flat, sometimes slightly hilly terrain. We will have several stops during the walk for photos and to provide you with information about our exciting city and Arctic environment. We will pass through a scenic area in the midst of birch and spruce forests that on several occasions will offer very good views of the beautiful landscape that surrounds our island. We will further have one longer break where we serve 'lefse' (a delicious local sweet snack) and a hot drink to warm you up before we continue our winterly walk.

Driving your own team of huskies is an out of the ordinary experience and a must-do for anyone visiting Northern Norway. The dog sled has been used for centuries throughout the Arctic region, mainly for travel, hunting and transportation. Even if outdoor winter adventures are not your thing, this tour offers you a chance to check this traditional experience off your list and take lots of photos.

Two people will share one sled: one as a driver and the other one as a passenger. You will get a chance to swap places halfway through the tour, so that everyone gets to experience the life of a dog musher, but also have time to take all the photographs they want.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this activity, you will get the chance to drive your dog sled for about a kilometer where our guide stops the tour to take photos of you being a dog musher before you switch places with your passenger. Once done with photos, you will take the return trip back to camp.

After your dog sledding ride, youll get the chance to strengthen your bond with your newly made furry friends that helped you through your adventure. You can give and receive all the cuddles that you can handle. Once you say farewell to your four-legged companions, you are invited to the warm comforts of our panorama restaurant where you can learn a lot more about the dogs from our knowledgeable guides over some hot drinks and cake.

Do you love dogs and beautiful nature? Combine both on a hike with our four-legged friends and one of our experienced guides.

Join an experienced handler and a small group of energetic Alaskan huskies for a hike through the Arctic wilderness surrounding our center. As our dogs are strong working dogs trained to pull, they are normally shared between the group, and most guests enjoy taking turns handling them. Be prepared for some fun exercise!

After the hike, spend time in our puppy enclosure, where you can meet, play with and photograph the next generation of sled dogs. Then relax in our cozy Gamme (traditional hut) and enjoy a warm lunch by the open fire. We serve Bacalao a traditional Norwegian fish dish with Portuguese roots or a vegetarian meal if requested in advance, together with coffee and tea.

Ice Fishing on Ullsfjord starts at the pick-up point in Tromsø. From there we will drive you to The fishing spot and walk down to the frozen sea. On this trip you will get a unique opportunity to catch your own fish. We will prepare the Fish With you, if you catch one. If we catch any fish, you will learn how to prepare and cook it.

After the fishing trip we will drive to our basecamp and prepare a local meal with you. Our basecamp has a fantastic view of the Lyngen Alps. There will be told local stories, and you can relax in the middle of the arctic wilderness.
