Wroclaw is a true paradise for bikers, there is over 214 km of a bike roads and 16 km of them goes through parks and 15km goes through the levees.

Bike tours are a perfect way to explore Wroclaw and go beyond typical routs followed by tourists. This ecologic and pleasant way of sightseeing ensures that you can see the city in couple of hours.

OVERVIEW

It's a journey back in time to the wartime of Wroclaw in 1945. We start the walk at the market square in Wroclaw. The market square and the town hall were not destroyed during war operations. Then we go to the beautiful salt market, under the square there were powerful anti-aircraft shelters. After about a dozen minutes we reach Liebich's-Hoehe, the place where the mighty concrete shelter of the headquarters of the Breslau Fortress was located. During the Second World War, until March 14, 1945, it was the command station of the second commander of the Breslau Fortress - Hans von Ahlbert. The main train station is near the bunker. The Germans built a system of concrete shelters beneath this building, and their remains can still be seen today. At the train station we get on the tram and head towards Neumarkt and Dominsel. This is where the destruction of the war was greatest, as you can see in the old photos from the cathedral's viewing platform.

The Church of Peace in widnica

the largest timber-framed religious buildings in Europe were built in the former Silesia in the mid-17th century. Constrained by the physical and political conditions, the Churches of Peace bear testimony to the quest for religious freedom and are a rare expression of Lutheran ideology in an idiom generally associated with the Catholic Church. Built outside the city walls, made of wood or clay and built in less than a year, now placed on UNESCOs list of World Heritage Sites.

2: Zamek Ksiaz w Walbrzychu

Ksi Castle

the third largest castle in Poland, located on a majestic rock cliff by the side of the Pelcznica River. Beautifully surrounded by the forest at the height of 395m above sea level, the castle is often called the Pearl of Lower Silesia. Such location corresponding to the size of the building is very rare in Europe. In 1943 Hitlers paramilitary organization had stormed into the Castle and began to construct one of the most important quarters for Adolf Hitler.

3: Palmiarnia Walbrzych

The Wabrzych Palm House arose from the initiative of the last representative of the Hochberg dynasty in Ksi Castle, Hans Heinrich XV. The Prince had it built for his spouse, Mary Theresa Cornwallis-West. It is the only such facility in Poland that has been preserved in its original construction.

widnica's Market Square - very charming place that is a must-visit. Renovated, colorful townhouses with Gothic relics, beautiful fountains, including a well with Neptune from 1732, and impressive lighting awarded in competitions make quite an impression.
