- If you are traveling with another reservation for the same tour and date, this must be indicated at the time of booking. If we are informed after pick-up details have been sent (the day before), changes will not be possible.

After a photo stop at the historic city of Peso da Regua, continue to the first winery of the day, perhaps Quinta do Tedo. Learn how wines, including Port, are made and sample some signatures at a guided tasting.
Stop at the riverside village of Pinhao, once an important center of wine transportation, and soak up the atmosphere on an hour-long river cruise. Savor an authentic Portuguese lunch at a local restaurant: Please advise any special dietary requirements in advance.

In the past Pinhão used to be an important place for commerce and transport of the wine from Douro to Porto. The wine was first commercialized and next shipped in the traditional Rabelo boat to remain aging in Vila Nova de Gaia, just across the river in Porto. In the village of Pinhão we stop for a 1h river cruise as well as we have lunch at a traditional local restaurant.
