During our tour we will visit 3 famous Istrian villages where we will taste local liquors, wines, cheeses, truffle products, and marmalades. Hum, the smallest town in the world, is located in the heart of Istria that claims only 20 inhabitants. Your visit to Hum will be like a beautiful fairy tale of small Istrian towns. This hidden, picturesque region of Istria is extremely friendly to all visitors who come to marvel in the sights the town has to offer. According to local legend, Hum was built with the stones left over when giants were building towns in the Mirna River valley, an area in central Istria that includes wonderful mountain towns such as Motovun, Ro, and Bale. Apart from being famous for being the smallest town in the world, Hum recently became popular for biska, a spiced brandy made with mistletoe according to an old Hum recipe.

2: Hilltop Walled Ancient City of Motovun

Northern Istria, located high above the Mirna River, is home to arguably the most attractive and famous medieval town in the country - Motovun. This fascinating city that lies on top of a hill is the characteristic symbol for the inner heart of Istria. The bell tower, which was built in the 13th century in a Romanesque-Gothic style, dominates the center of the historic town from its position adjacent to St Stephens 17th century parish church. There are many other beautiful historic buildings that surround it. Motovuns forest is a particularly good hunting ground for truffles, the alleged aphrodisiac fungus which grows underground and is prized for its distinctive aroma. Vineyards surround the town from all sides; Istrias finest wines are produced from the grapes of these vineyards. The whole region is sprinkled with superb restaurants and konobe.

Gronjan is a small Istrian town that holds a great cultural significance not only to Croatia but worldwide. Surrounded by green hills and magical white soil, this town is a must-see for those who want to discover the treasure trove that is Istria. Because of its interesting history, Gronjan is rich in ancient churches, prehistoric sites, medieval castles, magnificent palaces, and many other historic structures whose past glory was recovered once again through restoration. Its white soil feeds the many neighboring vineyards and olive groves. Because of all this, the area of Gronjan is ripe with agritourism and many taverns and restaurants offer traditional Istrian cuisine to their guests. Gronjan is also home to several national and international artists. Meeting point where we start our adventure. We will get to know each other and our vespas, so we can all be confident and safe on the road. You will get a helmet and water as well and it will be time to start our trip!
We start off with a short drive through the city to get to the countryside with local and uncrowded roads.

2: Secovlje Salina Nature Park

We continue our ride through Secovlje Nature Park where a panoramic view of the salt flats opens up and we get to enjoy and its surroundings. There will be time to take photos and stop for a little break.

The drive will take us through old pine trees and through small Istrian villages. We will stop at a couple of them, and get to visit a local olive oil farmer. You will get to taste different kinds of extra virgin olive oil and ejoy the view of olive oil plantation. There will be time to take a short walk through the village and take in the views. We stop at a local Istrian konoba as well where you get to enjoy authentic Istrian food and refreshing beverages.

4: Nature Reserve Strunjan

On the way back we take a scenic route through the Strunjan park and enjoy views of Slovenian coast where you can see Croatia and Italy as well. There will be frequent points to take landscape photos as well.

The reservation includes one Vespa for two people, with one guest as the driver and the other as the passenger. You will be accompanied by tour guides on a separate Vespa.

To drive a Vespa, you need a valid driver's license and must be an adult, 18 years old or over. The reservation includes a 50cc Vespa, but more powerful models (125cc Vespa) are also available upon request; please indicate your preference in the reservation comments, and we will check availability.

A deposit is required before the tour: 150 for the 50cc Vespa and 200 for the 125cc Vespa. This deposit will be fully refunded at the end of the tour if the Vespa and equipment are returned undamaged.

The tour takes around 4-5 hours. The first 30 minutes will be dedicated to safety instructions and rules as well as getting ti know each other and your motorbikes. The ride itself takes approximately 1,5 - 2 hours with frequent stops to take in the scenery. Along the way there is a half an hour stop at the oil farmer and an hour stop for lunch as well.

Ljubljana, the capital and largest city in Slovenia, is the cultural, educational, economic, political and administrative centre of the country. It is renowned for its rich history, which is reflected in the unique architectural heritage. Its old town centre is embraced by Ljubljana Castle and the river Ljubljanica where the feeling of the city is the strongest. On your trip, you will encounter ancient and modern architecture. You will visit the old town center where you will admire the works of the Slovene architect Joe Plenik, who took an important part in designing the Ljubljanas most famous bridges, town squares and parks. In a little more than three decades, Joe Plenik transformed Ljubljana from a provincial city to the capital of the Slovene nation and reshaped the urban part of the city. His influence can be felt everywhere, but mostly along the river Ljubljanica.

The Lipica Stud Farm is one of the oldest stud farms in the world and it represents the origin of the Lipizzan horse. In a unique natural environment, in the middle of fairy meadows and in the shade of oak and chestnut trees, you will find beautiful white horses which will certainly enchant you. Taking a walk on the stud farm estate is like traveling through history. The old manor house and the gracefulness of the Lipizzan horse will take you to the time when horse carriages were the most prominent way of transport. The Lipica Stud Farm is one of the oldest stud farms in the world, and it represents the origin of the Lipizzan horse. In a unique natural environment, in the middle of fairy meadows and in the shade of oak and chestnut trees, you will find beautiful white horses which will certainly enchant you. Taking a walk on the stud farm estate is like traveling through history. The old manor house and the gracefulness of the Lipizzan horse will take you to the time when horse carriages were the most prominent way of transport. For more than 400 years the tradition of breeding these white horses has been preserved in the center of the unique Karst landscape which today represents one of the most beautiful natural and cultural monuments in Slovenia. kocjan Caves is a cave system in Slovenia which together with the underground stream of the river Reka represents the most important natural phenomenon of the Karst region and one of the largest underground canyons in the world. Its colorful underground world is adorned with giant stalactites, water rapids, and beautiful lakes. On your trip, view the worlds largest underground canyon and walk across the bridge which is situated 40 meters above the underground river. 1st country Croatia (starters)

2nd country Slovenia (main dish)

Visit to the inn in Rodik, located on the Karst and not far from Lipica stud-farm. Here we will eat the national Slovenian gourmet lunch. After lunch we will continue to Lipica. From the outside we will see the terrains of the oldest stud farm in Europe from 1580.

3rd country Italy ( coffee)

The end of lunch will be in Italy, precisely in the city of coffee Trieste, on it's Unity Square. We will drink great coffee and then we will slowly take it back to Portoroz.
