WHAT TO EXPECT

This wildlife photographic safari will be focused on taking the best possible wildlife photographs for the day and getting you in the best locations animals wise. Departing from Hazyview we have to enter either at Kruger gate or Phabeni Gate to get into the Kruger Park this is a full day drive from Sunrise to Sunset. Comfort stops are done during the day for meals (own account) at the main camps.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Experience the freedom of gliding over one of the last remaining natural forested valleys along the Sabie River adjacent to the Kruger National Park. The aerial cable trail takes you down into the valley basin, stopping along the way on a number of elevated platforms to admire the natural vegetation, birdlife and the views of the forest floor below.

Each section of the trail varies in length from 70 to 230 meters linking a total of 10 platforms, making the total length of the trail 1.2km. The trail has been designed and built to South African civil engineering standards and all the equipment has been designed specifically for this activity and tried and tested worldwide. All groups are escorted by qualified guides.

Participants meet at Perrys bridge Trading Post in Hazyview, to complete the necessary documentation before being kitted out and briefed. Guests are then transported to the starting point of the trail. After the trail has been completed, participants are returned to Perrys Bridge Centre, where you will find restaurants and shops at your service. Bottled water is provided during the trail.

We can accommodate up to 8 participants per trip, on scheduled departures. Larger groups can be accommodated over several trips, please enquire about our team building specials. This adventure activity is suitable for families and people of all ages; however children under the age of 10 might need to be assisted, please contact our office for more information.

Advanced booking is recommended. The maximum per person weight is 120kg. The whole tour takes approx. two and half hours to complete. Recommended activity if you are travelling in the Southern Kruger National Park area.

From an Open Safari Vehicle guests can smell the dust and the sun-warmed grass, listen to the cicadas and the cry of the Fish Eagles, and enjoy the heat of an African day. However we are also able to offer a safari in a closed, air-conditioned vehicle. This is a pleasant and comfortable option especially in very hot weather, for older guests, and for families travelling with young children.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Get an early start with a pickup at your Hazyview lodge for the drive into Kruger National Park, one of the biggest and most diverse reserves on the continent. Arrive at one of the many safari lodges in the park to meet your guide, an expert ranger who will also be your driver, and climb into an open-top 4x4 vehicle for your first safari drive.

Enjoy the incomparable scenery as your guide tells you about the sort of wildlife you may see during a morning game drive, including raptors and other bird species. Watch as the sun adds more and more light to the impressive park. Stop at several points along the way to take photographs, listen to more information about the park from your guide or simply enjoy the majesty of watching Kruger wake up.

Take a midday break for lunch at one of the safari lodges inside Kruger National Park (own expense), after which youll meet up with your guide once more for the afternoon game drive.

Hear more stories of the wildlife that lives in Kruger, including Africas famous Big Five rhinos, elephants, leopards, lions and Cape buffaloes and keep an alert eye out for them. Kruger National Park is South Africas largest game reserve, and one of the most respected in the world. Our highly experienced field guides are passionate about the bush, and they will share their knowledge of the 147 species of mammals, more than 500 species of birds and 336 species of trees which make this 2 million hectare space their home, with our guests. The recorded presence of man including bushman rock paintings and archaeological sites, are conserved along with the Parks natural assets. If time permits, at least one of these will be included in the trip. From an Open Safari Vehicle guests can smell the dust and the sun-warmed grass, listen to the cicadas and the cry of the Fish Eagles, and enjoy the heat of an African day. However we are also able to offer a safari in a closed, air-conditioned vehicle. This is a pleasant and comfortable option especially in very hot weather, for older guests, and for families travelling with young children.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Kruger National Park

Our afternoon Sunset Safari gathers from 12h30pm to depart by 13h00pm.
To ensure that our guests get the most out of their Safari we recommend accessing from either Paul Kruger, Phabeni or Numbi gate or Malelane Gate.
We will enter the gates around 13h00 and your professional guide will introduce you to the splendour of the Kruger National Park and read the tracks and signs to pick up on the day's bush activity.
Being a 5 to 6 hour drive we will focus on the Southern section of the park and spend time in and around the Skukuza and Pretoriouskop areas. We will stop at one of these camps for a refresher/comfort break and finally make our way back to the designated collection gate for 17h30 to 18h00 dependent on time of year. You can expect to see Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra, a variety of antelope and perhaps Lion and Leopard.

What to Wear - Summer Months (September to April)

Cool functional attire preferably in dull darker shades to create uniformity with vehicle and not stand out visually to game species. Always remember a good hat as well as sunscreen. Midday temperatures can reach upward of 40 degrees and afternoons can experience thunder showers. All vehicles are equipped with blankets and waterproof ponchos for our guests.

What to Wear - Winter Months (May to August)

During the winter months we typically experience blue skies with a daily average temperature of 20 - 25 degrees celcius. Early morning and late afternoons are cooler and we recommend warmer attire as this is amplified when travelling on an open safari vehicle. We do provide blankets but long pants, jacket and beanie are recommended.

As we enter the Kruger National Park we explore the Park on the lookout for a pride of lions, majestic herds of elephants, a solitary leopard lying in a shady tree, the rare rhino, and herds of buffalo. To see the King of the Jungle is a really great experience and you will have an opportunity to see them free-roaming in their natural habitat. We will also see a multitude of other wild animals and birds, like hornbills, eagles, secretary birds, hippos, zebras, giraffes and an abundance of antelopes like impala & kudu. Our Full Day Ulendo Safari greets the dawn chorus at 05h30am in Summer months and 06h15am in Winter months. We will enter the gates shortly after there opening (05h45 in summer and 06h15 in winter).
Our professional guides will introduce you to the splendour of the Kruger National Parks history, heritage and of course wildlife.
Between 08h30 to 09h15 we will stop at one of the camps for breakfast (all meals for your own account) before heading out again into the bush.
We again stop for lunch at 12h00 (usually at Skukuza)
Whilst in the rest camps we will unpack some of the history and iconic landmarks in the camp areas and close vicinity. Part of the magic of Kruger is understanding her history and events that shaped the land.
