(B&B) La Posada de Ziga

This establishment is presented as the perfect archetype of the Baztan farmhouse. Its construction dates back to 1741 and today it preserves some aspects of its time of military quartering; Located in the lower part of the house, the names of the old apartments remain embodied in stone, such as the gun room, guardhouse, powder magazine and dining room. The farmhouse stands on a solid stone and wood structure, perfectly preserved for almost 300 years. It has an impressive internal staircase supported in the air and supported only by the main beams of the house, an originality that only 3 or 4 houses in the entire valley preserve. From the landing of the main entrance visitors can see the ascending path that elegantly draws the staircase to the upper floors of the house.
