Vimotions brings you an appealing tour around Caleta de Fuste on an innovative and ecofriendly vehicle: the segway. The segway is interesting, comfortable and light. This two-wheel vehicle always remains upright thanks to its sensors. Its engine is electric, which makes it an ecological means of transport, and reaches a maximum speed of between 15 and 20 kilometres per hour.
A car will pick you at your hotel and will take you to Caleta de Fuste, where Salinas del Sal is. There, a guide will teach you how to use the segway for around 30 minutes and shortly after you will be having fun while handling it and enjoying the wonderful views you can only find in Fuerteventura. Salinas de Sal is the only remaining salt production plant in the Canary Islands. You will be able to see it perfectly alongside your guide during the tour and then you will go the coast. There, you will enjoy a fantastic ocean view.
After finishing the activity, another car will take you back to your hotel.

Puerto del Rosario is the capital of Fuerteventura. It is also the largest town and the economic heart of the island. Currently around 49,000 inhabitants. Puerto del Rosario is a late bloomer. Hence unfortunately no impressive historic city center with buildings from different eras.
The fact that Puerto del Rosario has only developed late is because it has not always been the capital of Fuerteventura. It was not until the year 1835 that it took over this role from Betancuria. Officially, the year before Antigua was briefly the main city of the island. When Puerto del Rosario became the capital, it was still called Puerto de CabrasThe place was initially known as Puerto de Cabras or Puerto Cabras due to the historical presence of goats of these animals that grazed on its coastline. The protected landscape of Vallebrón is located between the towns of La Oliva and Puerto del Rosario, in the north of the island of Fuerteventura. It is a geomorphological entity that is representative of the island and of great landscape value.
It covers an area of almost 1,680 hectares, which represents 3.5% of the protected area of the island. Vallebrón forms a landscape characterised by an elongated ridge with a knife-shaped relief, flanked by two large U-shaped ravines, Valle Largo and Valle Chico.
The southernmost point of the ridge coincides with the Montaña de la Muda, a place of historical interest due to an archaeological site.
