1: Lauterbrunnen

After reaching Lauterbrunnen, the guide explains you the best way to explore the place in the most best way.

Lauterbrunnen is a small mountain valley location. Depending on season, time of day and weather its busy or quiet.

You may climb up a narrow track, depending on the winds and water flow, to take a shower.

After we had some more suprise hidden spots we drove by, we reach Iseltwald and the famouse CLOY Pier.

Stand on the pier or side step it and angle a picture for free.

Admission is not included, EUR 6 per person. Bring CHF 5 coin or electronic payment. To stand on the pier is optional.

6: Iseltwald

Apart from the CLOY pier you may walk around take a picture here and there in Iseltwald, Switzerland.

Look from the bridge into the abyss, and 182 mbelow youll see the bottom of Gummischlucht gorge. The view down the gorge will take your breath away.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Experience the thrills and spills of the Swiss Alps on this 5.5-hour canyoning adventure. Depart from either of Interlaken's train stations, or from your accommodation in Interlaken or one of seven local municipalities. Meet your guide at the canyoning base, where youll receive your safety gear, including a wetsuit to protect you from the chilly mountain water.

The 1-hour scenic drive out to the canyon follows the impressive peaks of the Bernese Alps through Grimsel Pass. Listen as your guide gives a run-down of your days activities. On arrival, snap on your helmet, harness and life jacket, followed by a safety briefing.

Then put your skills to the test as you go abseiling (rappelling) down a 165-foot (50-meter) cliff face into the canyon and plunge into the water. Your wet and wild journey includes roughly 2.5 hours of fun leaping off rocky ledges from up to 26 feet (8 meters) above and sliding down natural chutes into swirling plunge pools.

Your guide will show the way and ensure your safety, and even take you along easier routes if you're not feeling quite so adventurous. Zoom down a high zipline into crystal-clear waters below and float effortlessly downstream.

Replenish with a light lunch of bread, cheese, cucumber and tomatoes and a refreshing drink of beer or water. Afterward, hop back aboard your vehicle for the return to the base, where you can enjoy a shower and purchase a copy of your filmed trip through the canyons.

Start your beginners canyoning adventure with pickup from either of Interlaken's train stations, or from your accommodation in Interlaken or one of seven local municipalities. Enjoy the 10-minute drive to the outskirts of Wilderswil along a scenic route beneath the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger mountain peaks of the Swiss Alps. WHAT TO EXPECT

You will be picked up from any location in Interlaken and brought in 35 minutes by private shuttle to the ski resort of Axalp. There you will be equipped with your boots, ski's and all the clothes that you need. Then it's time for a 2 hour group lesson where you will slowly progress from your first steps in the snow to controlling your speed, direction and autonomously using the ski lifts.
After this experience you probably want to ski again, but unfortunately it's time to head back to Interlaken. If you wish, you can get off at Giessbach waterfalls or Iseltwald for an afternoon excursion on your own.

Included are:
- Shuttle service from Interlaken Ost to Axalp ski resort and back.

Enjoy a scenic ride on the cable car uphill the Harder Kulm, Interlaken's "local mountain" and is actually not a mountain at all, but a prominent view point of the western Harder, and is located directly north of the city center. From the restaurant and viewing platform you have a panoramic view of the Jungfrau region. Lake Thun lies to the west and Lake Brienz to the east. To the south you can see the Bödeli, with the communities of Unterseen, Interlaken and Matten, as well as the world-famous triumvirate of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

The Trümmelbach Falls are the world's only glacier waterfalls that are accessible underground by lift, galleries, tunnels, paths and platforms. They alone carry the meltwater of the glaciers from the Jungfrau down to the valley - up to 20,000 liters of water per second. The water carries with it over 20,000 tons of boulders and scree per year and causes the entire mountain to shudder and make a thundering noise.

The St. Beatus Caves high above Lake Thun are a chance to discover a unique underground world. When it rains, the gorge is very impressive with its mystical atmosphere and, at parts, large stretches of water.

The Susten Pass links the Reuss Valley at the foot of the Gotthard Mountain with the Hasli Valley in the Bernese Oberland, and the village of Wassen in Canton Uri with Innertkirchen in Canton Bern. WHAT TO EXPECT

After morning pickup from your Interlaken hotel, travel about 20 minutes in a climate-controlled minivan to Lake Thun.

Make a short stop at Neuhaus beach on the shore of Lake Thun. Waters from streams in the Oberland and Lake Brienz to the southeast feed into the bright blue alpine lake. You can also purchase a coffee or ice-cream there.

Continue to a farm located near the picturesque village of Wilderswil. Take in the postcard-perfect Swiss chalets as you approach the dairy farm, then meet the farmer for a tour that includes viewing the cows and other animals.

Your final stop is Lake Brienz in Bönigen. The lake measures nearly nine miles (14km) long and sits in the Swiss mountains. Enjoy sweeping views from the viewpoint before returning to your hotel in Interlaken in the late morning. The tour can accommodate a group of up to 13 people.
