GETTING AROUND - PHITSANULOK
The city of Phitsanulok is quite large, yet compact with primarily flat roads and the majority of hotels, restaurants, and attractions found in a centralized location making them easy to explore on foot. The main attractions in town are found along the east banks of the Nan River which is a pleasant walk and will lead you to the main market in town found south of the bridge. Strolling through Chom Nan Chaloem Phrakiat Park is a popular pass time with plenty of green areas, walking paths and outdoor activities to enjoy.
By Tuk-tukTuk-tuks and songthaews can be found near the bus and train station and along the main roads in town, they usually cost around 60 baht for a short ride.
By BusBus 1 runs a route between the central bus station, the train station and the city center. Buses depart from the main terminal, which is situated south of the train station on A-Kathotsarot Road and tickets cost around 10 baht.
By Tourist TramThe Phitsanulok Tour Tramway is a service in town for visitors to take a 45-minute sightseeing tour of the city costing 30 baht for adults and 20 baht for children. The service departs and ends at Wat Yai from 9 am until 3 pm.
