WHAT TO EXPECT

Firstly, we will tour all of the sites of Freeport, including the Open Air Farmer's Market and the Bahamian Brewery where we make seven different types of beer and two types of Radlers. We visit the local settlements to sample our local baked goodies and where you can find other unique arts and crafts.

Our lunch will be the Bahamian cooking experience where you will learn all about how we make this favorite national dish and try your hand at dropping a few fritters yourselves. Conch fritters are the most popular native dish in the entire Bahamas!!!

After our Bahamian Conch Fritter Experience we will tour the Port Lucaya Marketplace where you have the opportunity to visit the Bahamas Maritime Museum(optional) and do more shopping and sampling of other Bahamian made goodies especially our local flavors of chocolates.

Before returning to the ship or your hotel, we do have beach time where you can try any of our tropical drinks such as a Bahama Mama while enjoying our crystal clear turquoise waters on a magnificent beach.

Departure Point: Hotel guest will be picked up at your hotel, Transportation from the cruise port leaves 45 minutes after ship arrives. You will be returned back to your pickup point after tour is done.
Directions: Cruise port meeting point is the old Harley-Davidson shop curb side at the concrete circle. At Celebration Key pickup point is at the taxi stand.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Begin your 4-in-1 Grand Bahamas tour with pickup from your hotel or the cruise terminal.

Your first stop involves snorkeling over the mesmerizing blue holes, where the interconnected caverns create a thriving marine ecosystem. Witness the spectacle of boiling holes and explore the vibrant underwater world for up to 45 minutes.

Continue the aquatic exploration as your guide leads you on a wildlife tour, offering encounters with blacktip sharks, spotted eagle rays, stingrays, starfish, sea urchins, conch, and possibly wild spotted dolphins.

Then, head to a turtle park to see hawksbill, loggerhead, and green turtles. Conclude the day with a visit to Sweetings Cay, where a local restaurant awaits to provide light refreshments and fruit salad.

Return to the mainland, where the van awaits to transport you back to your hotel or cruise ship.

1: Fran's Travel Tour & Limo Service

On this Blue hole snorkeling adventure, you will be picked up from your cruise port, or hotel and travel to the very east of Grand Bahama Island, where you will then board a boat, and get all the does and donts. The first part of your tour will take you snorkeling over the blue holes, these blue holes which we will snorkel for 5 to 10 minutes. The second part of your tour is 45 minutes where you drift and will see wildlife, like sharks, spotted eagle rays, sting rays, star fish, sea urchins, sea cucumber, conch, lobster, and an array of reef fish. You might see even a wild school of dolphins, or turtles. turtle, you will then stop at a beach on Sweetings Cay for beach time, before we head back to the mainland and back to your hotel or cruise ship.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Grand Bahama Island

After I pick you up at the Freeport harbour, we have two optional stops The Bahamian Brewery where we make seven different types of beer and the Bahamas Distilling Co, where we make five types of rum and a gin. After that we then visit The Open Air Farmer's Market where you get to try the best conch fritters on the island and shop for those unique souvenir items. The local vendors are small mom and pop type operations and they mostly only take cash so please be sure to bring extra cash for your shopping and other incidentals. For any of you Art Lovers, we do have Mosaic where many of our local resident artists are exhibiting. Please let me know if you would like to stop at Mosaic before we head into Lucaya to our next stop which will be the Port Lucaya Marketplace for more shopping. 2: Port Lucaya Marketplace

Our next stop is Port Lucaya Marketplace where you have lots more local vendors with bigger stalls. There is the Bahamas Maritime Museum which tells you all about our history and culture with an amazing collection of artifacts and sunken treasure from a shipwreck in our waters. There is also Bootleg Chocolates, where we make chocolates with local fruit flavors. There are large jewelry stores such as Pandora, Colombian Emeralds Intl. and Freeport Jewellers for you to add a special trinket to your jewelry box. We tour as long as you need to make sure you get all of your souvenir shopping done. For you Art Afficionados, there is also a local Bahamian artist in his studio so we definitely will make a stop there for you to find that special work of art to take home with you. He accepts credit cards as well as the larger jewelry stores, the Bahamas Maritime Museum and Bootleg Chocolates. We will need at least 30 to 45mins here to tour and for you to do your shopping.

3: Taino Beach

We will tour our public park, Taino Beach where you can try our specialty dish, Conch Salad. You can video him taking the conch out of the shell and making the conch salad right there in front of you. After that we continue on to tour Smith's Point, Home of the Wed. night Fish Fry, Sanctuary Bay, where the dolphins call home and last but not least Millionaire's Row, the Beverly Hills of Grand Bahama. This exclusive street has lavish elegant homes where our affluent residents call home and they have come from all over the world. Please be sure to bring your cameras to capture the sights and points of interest on your private curated daytrip with me. 4: Garden of the Groves

This is a 40 acre botanical garden filled with local trees, flowers, and a variety of birds. There is a chapel, a labyrinth and six small specialty shops selling local arts and crafts . Their restaurant, The Garden Cafe overlooks the pond and the waterfalls. This is an optional stop on our way to the East End and the Lucayan National Park. This walk takes about 30-45 mins and admission is not included.

5: Lucayan National Park

Lucayan National Park has the most magnificent beach, Gold Rock Beach which stretches for miles and miles with crystal clear turquoise waters and powder white sand. We have our Bahamian picnic lunch on the beach which consists of home made bread rolls, cold cuts - ham, turkey breast, salami and two types of sliced cheddar- yellow and white, lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard. I bake a treat for dessert and the icing on the cake is my very own Bahama Mamas made with gold & coconut rums and local fresh fruit juices. You will have enough time to enjoy the beach either swimming, sunbathing or strolling and colleting shells. After beach time, we will then tour the two caves, Ben's Cave and Burial Mound , on the other side of the street. We will need at least 30 - 45mins. to walk the two caves. After touring the caves and time permitting we will then continue further east to visit the settlement of High Rock before returning to your ship. Total tour time is at least two hours.

6: Experience Grand Bahama with Hida

After touring the Lucayan National Park and time permitting we will then continue further east along the coastline to High Rock, a local beach side settlement. There you can visit the Lighthouse Chapel and the Famous Bishop's Bar and Restaurant. You can meet Mr. Bishop himself who is quite a local character with lots of stories about the island.
This tour and stop will take at least 45mins so we will need to make sure we do have time to fit this stop in before returning to the ship. I do my best to fit in as many stops as I can on your private curated daytrip with me. WHAT TO EXPECT

Experience local aquatic wildlife firsthand, namely the Green Sea Turtle and Hawksbill Turtle, whilst snorkeling our vibrant coral reefs, teeming with marine life.

We will first Snorkel/Swim with the Turtles for as long as you are wanting to enjoy this exciting activity. After snorkeling we will then visit our Bahamian Brewery where they make seven different types of beers including a pink grapefruit and a passion fruit radler. We can also visit the Bahamas Distilling Co. where they make several varieties of rums and other spirits here on island.

We will next visit the Open-Air Farmer's where you can try the best conch fritters and shop for your souvenirs to take back with you. Also, we visit the Port Lucaya Marketplace where we have the Bahamas Maritime Museum which is very informative and well worth the tour. There is more shopping here for the shoppers.

We will spend the rest of the afternoon on a beautiful beach where you can enjoy a refreshing tropical drink while sitting on a lovely deck overlooking this amazing beach. You can swim, sunbathe, collect shells, beach walk or simply sit and enjoy the view before we return to your ship or resort. Perfect way to end the day!
