CANOEING THROUGH THE IGAPOS AND
IGARAPES: Hear the sounds of the forest
and explore the rivers. In canoes for up to 2 people, watch the scenery
changing as paddling along waters and between trees.
HIKING ON DRYLAND FOREST: Led
by experienced local guides, the
traveler will explore the forest, where some of the mysteries of the
Amazon are revealed. Knowledge of wild trees, fruits and berries, and
guidelines for survival and medicinal herbs will be shared.
ANAVILHANAS ARCHIPELAGO
NOCTURNAL SIGHTSEEING: Enjoy the unique feeling
of the nightlife inside the forest, lightened by the stars, exploring
the igapós to spot birds, sloths, snakes and alligators hidden in the
sounds of darkness.
TOUR IN ARCHIPELAGO OF
ANAVILHANAS LOOKING FOR PINK DOLPHINS: The countless canals, lakes and
islands of one of the world’s largest river archipelagos are explored
in the pursuit of Pink and Gray Dolphins.
RECREATIONAL PIRANHA FISHING OR
JUNGLE HIKE INTO THE FLOODED FOREST: Enjoy the amazing scenery and
catch some fish during this fun activity done in canoes along the
igarapés. In the dry season, from September to December, water gets
warmer and fish are more concentrated in the National Park, where
fishing is not allowed. However, during this same period, we offer the
possibility to walk through the islands of the Anavilhanas Archipelago
to get to know closely the differences of fauna and flora of the firm
forest and the forest of igapó, characteristics of the Amazon
Forest.
SUNRISE CONTEMPLATION: Leaving
at dawn, guests will be taken to the islands to watch the birds flying
and the beauty of all the colors when the sun rises in the Amazon sky.
Note: The order of the tours
above is defined by the Hotel, which will supply the schedule of the
activities upon guest arrival. Guests with pick-up at the airport
between 11am and 2pm will not be able to attend the afternoon tour of
the first day. Guests with return flights scheduled from 1pm to 7pm
will not be able to attend the morning tour of the last day.
Obs: At the moment,
the drought is within the normal expected levels. We have some
recommendations for guests that will be visiting the region until early
December:
-Bring small luggage that weights less than 10kg, and leave the larger
suitcases in the lodge's office (when they are available) or in the
airport lockers;
-Use hats with long brim and dark sunglasses for protection from the
intense heat;
-Use sunscreen and always carry bottled water;
-Wear comfortable closed shoes or boots and light colored clothes made
from light weight fabric.
The lodges are trying to minimize the inconvenience caused by these
walks. The hotel's staff will carry the luggage to reception.
Furthermore, some programs were substituted/modified due to difficulty
of access.
Transfer details:Land Transfers
are provided with Portuguese-speaking drivers only. Duration of 3h30min
approximately.
Please note that for Safety reasons, the lodge do not transfer any
guest, even private ones, departing from Manaus after 03:30pm. Flights
with delay, arriving at the airport later than 03:00pm, will require
that the guests overnight in the city of Manaus, departing to the lodge
in the following morning. In these cases, all expenses are paid
directly by the passengers.
Transfer IN: Departure from
Manaus
between 08:00am and 08:30am: pick-up at the hotels
between 13:30 and 15:30: pick-up exclusively at the airport.for flights
arriving until 03:00 pm.
Guests with pick up at the airport will only be able to do the night
activities on the first day.
Transfer OUT: Departure from
the lodge
at 08:00am, for embark at
flights departing between 01:00pm and
06:30pm. Pax that choose this departure to Manaus will loose the last
activity.
at 01:30pm, for embark at night flights or staying at the hotels in
Manaus
ATTENTION:- During the Rainy
Season (May to July) and Dry Season (October to December) peak periods,
occasional floods or severe drought may occur, causing some lodges to
reschedule or replace activities/tours. E.g., walking tours may be done
by boat or may even be replaced by other options (rainy season); longer
walks with detours from river banks to lodges or other areas may be
required, including bridges over mud puddles or springs (dry season).
- Due to the hotel s location in the middle of the forest, natural
elements may affect its structure, requiring constant maintenance. The
works, when necessary, are done during the day while guests are away
from the lodge, enjoying the activities.
