1: Mercado Publico Porto Alegre

Historic building in the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The limits of the Central Public Market are Largo Glênio Peres, Avenida Borges de Medeiros, Avenida Júlio de Castilhos and Praça Pereira Parobé, in the historic center of the city. It is next to the Porto Alegre City Hall building and facing the Chalé da Praça XV.

2: Chalé da Praça XV

It is one of the most traditional bars and restaurants in Porto Alegre. It is located in the Historic Center of the city, at Praça XV de Novembro, close to the Public Market and the Municipal Palace.

4: Igreja Nossa Senhora Das Dores

It is a Catholic church located in the Historic Center of Porto Alegre. It is the oldest church in the city still standing. Its construction dragged on for a long time and the facade plan was modified when it was still under construction, showing today an eclectic style, but the interior is richly decorated with gilded woodwork in a late Baroque style with neoclassical elements, in addition to having an important group of life-size baroque statues of Christ representing the Passion cycle. Home to ancient religious traditions and a building of great historical and artistic significance, it was listed nationally by IPHAN.

5: Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana

Former Majestic Hotel, it is a historic building and a cultural center of the Capital, one of the largest and best equipped in Brazil.

The Majestic Hotel had its peak in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. During this period, guests with great names from politics, such as ex-presidents Getúlio Vargas and João Goulart, and from the artistic world, such as Vicente Celestino, Virginia Lane and Francisco Alves. As a result of the so-called developmentalist period, the hotel began to suffer competition from new hotels that had wider and more modern facilities. The former guests were gradually replaced by cath and wrestling fighters, as well as singles, widowers, bohemians and lonely poets like Mário Quintana, who stayed there from 1968 to 1980, in apartment 217. The House was named in his honor, one of the greatest Brazilian poets, Mário Quintana, born in the city of Alegrete in Rio Grande do Sul, but who adopted Porto Alegre as his city of heart.

7: Piratini Palace

It is the current headquarters of the Executive Branch of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is located at Praça da Matriz, in the historic center of the city. It was built to replace the old Barro Palace, which existed in the same place and had been built in 1773 by order of the then governor José Marcelino de Figueiredo, at the end of the 19th century.

8: Metropolitan Cathedral

Mother Church of Nossa Senhora da Madre de Deus, is located in the Historic Center of the city, in Praça da Matriz. On May 3, 1920, the earthworks and demolition of the Matriz began, and the cornerstone of the new temple was laid on August 7, 1921. Its crypt opened on March 20, 1929, where the religious services were transferred. , enabling the final demolition of the old construction and the continuation of the new works.

9: Estadio Beira-Rio

The José Pinheiro Borda Stadium, known as Gigante da Beira-Rio or simply Beira-Rio, is a football stadium located on the shores of Lake Guaíba, in the city. It belongs to Sport Club Internacional and its capacity is for 50,842 fans, being the 10th largest stadium in Brazil. It hosted FIFA World Cup games in 2014.

10: Marinha do Brasil park

Inaugurated on December 9, 1978, Parque Marinha do Brasil covers an area of 70.70 hectares. It is located in the Praia de Belas neighborhood, is bypassed by the avenues Borges de Medeiros and Ipiranga, being cut by the avenue Edvaldo Pereira Paiva (also called Beira-Rio), which overlooks the Guaíba waterfront. The park was designed on the old embankment that enabled the expansion of Praia de Belas, completed in the 1960s.

Mauricio Sirotsky Sobrinho park (Pass by)

Also called Parque da Harmonia, it is an urban park in the city. It is located in the Praia de Belas neighborhood and covers 65 hectares. Stage of the Camp Farroupilha - largest event alluding to the traditional culture of Rio Grande do Sul, to commemorate the Farroupilha Revolution. It consists of almost 400 paddocks, set up and organized by traditionalist groups, during the month of September, between the 7th and the 20th, where the habits of the gaucho tradition are cultivated.

11: Farroupilha Park

Better known as Parque da Redenção or simply Redenção, it is the most traditional and popular park in the city. It has an area of 37.51 hectares, with 45 monuments inside. On Sundays, the traditional Brique da Redenção is held in the park, with numerous stalls selling handicrafts, food and antiques. Parque Farroupilha was listed on January 3, 1997 by the municipality of Porto Alegre. The place is commonly a stage for popular demonstrations.

12: Parque Moinhos de Vento

Popularly known as Parcão, it is a green area of 11.5 hectares located in the Moinhos de Vento neighborhood. The name of the Park goes back to the 18th century, when miner Antônio Martins Barbosa established his windmill in an elevated part of Avenida Independência. At the time, wheat was a product of great economic importance for the people of the parish of Nossa Senhora de Madre de Deus, which became the city of Porto Alegre in 1822.

Rua Goncalo de Carvalho (Pass by)

It is a street with a length of 500 meters, located in the Independência neighborhood. Flanked by trees of the Tipuana genre, it became known internationally after a campaign for its preservation, which spread over the internet and led the route to be dubbed "the most beautiful street in the world" and to be considered "environmental heritage" by the city hall .

Place where the former Brahma Brewery was. It is a historic building, located at Avenida Cristóvão Colombo, in the Floresta neighborhood. Originally it belonged to Cervejaria Bopp Irmãos, then to Cervejaria Continental, and from this it passed to Cervejaria Brahma. As of 2003, the complex was occupied by a successful shopping center, Shopping Total, with 457 stores, managed by the Porto Shop Group. Based on an off-price concept, the average monthly visitation reaches 550 thousand people. It opened on May 29, 2003, with 42,000 m² of built area, 4 floors and a parking lot for 7,200 cars.
