This might include stretching, breathing exercises, and some dance activities to loosen up the muscles.
Then the teacher begins to teach the basic samba steps, which involve a combination of hip, leg and arm movements. It is important to pay attention to the music and rhythm, as samba is a very syncopated dance style.
As the class progresses, the teacher adds more steps and more advanced moves so you can build a complete samba routine. It's important to practice these steps often so that they become natural and flow well with the music.
In addition to the basic movements, the teacher can also teach you some tricks and techniques to improve your samba technique and skill. This can include how to move more fluidly, how to perform spins and jumps, and how to connect with the music in a deeper way.
At the end of the class, it is common to have time to practice what has been learned and dance with the other students. It's a great opportunity to have fun and socialize, as well as practice samba and improve your dancing skills.Duration: 1 hourADDITIONAL INFOPublic transportation options are available nearbySuitable for all physical fitness levelsNot wheelchair accessibleThis tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelersCANCELLATION POLICYFor a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.(For information purpose only - definite start times will show on voucher, once confirmed) -

WHAT TO EXPECTCrevice of Our Lady of Assumption (Pass by)Located at one end of Cabo Frio Island, although belonging to Arraial do Cabo, the Fenda da Nossa Senhora Aparecida is a rock formation that appears to have been cut like a slice of the island's cake. The story goes that in 1721 a fisherman found a statue of Our Lady of Aparecida there, beginning a journey that took her in procession to the Church of Our Lady of Assunção, in Cabo Frio, where she was solemnly enthroned. This episode is narrated in the book "O outro Cabo Frio" by Luiz Carlos da Cunha, although many consider its veracity to be a legend.
Nowadays, an image of the Saint is present both in the church in Cabo Frio and inside the crevice itself in Arraial do Cabo. The opening is about 5 meters wide by 40 meters high, almost reaching sea level. Before this opening, there is a rocky part exactly where the statue of the Saint is sheltered.1: Prainhas do Pontal do AtalaiaThe staircase that leads to Prainhas do Pontal do Atalaia looks like a portal to paradise. From the top of the hill, you can see a truly paradisiacal scene. It's difficult not to be mesmerized by the stunning view: white sands, sea in varying tones and the untouched green of Ilha do Farol in the background. The descent is steep, with many steps, but a photo stop along the way is always welcome.
It is essential not to confuse Prainhas do Pontal do Atalaia with Prainha near the entrance to the city, nor with Praia do Pontal which extends along the same strip of sand as Praia do Forte, in Cabo Frio. Prainhas are located on Morro do Pontal do Atalaia and get their name due to the formation of two beaches that join together into a single strip of sand when the tide is low.
The color of the water varies depending on the time of day, current, sunlight and other factors, transitioning between shades of green and blue.40 minutes -Admission Ticket Free2: Praia do fornoLocated in Arraial do Cabo, Praia do Forno could not be less than stunning. Its waters mix a tone between blue and green, displaying an exuberance that transports its visitors to another world. From certain angles, its landscape is very reminiscent of the beaches of the Mexican Caribbean, not only because of the incredible color of the waters, but also because of the cacti that emerge among the native vegetation of the Atlantic Forest.
The name "Praia do Forno" is an allusion to the heat emanating from all sides - from the sky, the sand and the rocks. However, don't worry! The refreshing waters guarantee relief and provide a well-deserved rest to enjoy the height of the beauty of Rio's coastline.30 minutes -Admission Ticket Free3: Praia do FarolPraia do Farol, in Arraial do Cabo, is a true untouched paradise. Accessible only by authorized boat, this paradisiacal beach enchants with its crystal clear waters in shades of blue and green, fine white sand, and a peaceful and preserved atmosphere. It is famous for its exuberant natural beauty and proximity to Ilha do Farol, where the lighthouse that gives the place its name is located. Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, Praia do Farol is an ideal refuge for those seeking tranquility and contemplation amid untouched nature.40 minutes -Admission Ticket FreeGruta Azul (Pass by)The Blue Grotto in Arraial do Cabo is a natural wonder that enchants with its crystal clear waters and intense blue tones. Located on the rocky coast, the cave is only accessible by boat or on specific tours. Upon entering the cave, visitors are welcomed by a spectacle of light and color, where the water reflects the sun's rays and creates a magical atmosphere inside the cave. This natural sanctuary is an unmissable spot for anyone visiting Arraial do Cabo, providing a unique experience of beauty and serenity.Praia dos Anjos (Pass by)Praia dos Anjos, in Arraial do Cabo, is a place of singular beauty and great historical importance. Praia dos Anjos is where the city's main port is located, from where boats depart for various sea trips around the region. With its calm, crystal-clear waters, it is an ideal spot for diving and snorkeling, allowing visitors to explore the rich local marine life. However, there are two features that remain unchanged any day of the year: the tranquility and transparency of the waters in Prainhas. These qualities are similar to paradise destinations in the Caribbean, making them one of the most stunning beaches in Arraial do Cabo. In addition, the water temperature is extremely pleasant, being among the most inviting in the region.1 hour -Admission Ticket Free2: Praia do FarolStanding out as a true jewel of Arraial do Cabo, Praia do Farol is one of the most stunning beaches in the entire Lagos Region and, without exaggeration, in all of Brazil. Its reputation gained notoriety when it was classified by the renowned INPE (National Institute for Space Research) as one of the most pristine beaches in the country, based on criteria such as the purity of the waters, the quality of the sand and the surrounding landscape. This fame quickly spread, transforming Praia do Farol into an unmissable destination for anyone visiting Arraial do Cabo.1 hour -Admission Ticket Free3: Forno BeachWith approximately 500 meters in length, Praia do Forno reveals itself in two different faces. To the right is a lively end full of bars, food stalls, kayak rentals and a constant buzz, especially on weekends. However, just go a little further along the strip of sand until you reach its end to enjoy the almost deserted Praia do Forno, where there is a refuge for those seeking tranquility.
In addition to being an attraction for diving lovers, this beach captivates snorkelers, providing sightings of numerous sea turtles. Interestingly, it also houses an oyster farm, adding even more charm to the place. The water temperature, although not the coldest in Arraial, makes the temptation to dive in the dazzling colors of the sea at Praia do Forno irresistible.1 hour -Admission Ticket Free4: Crevice of Our Lady of AssumptionBoat trips in Arraial do Cabo provide truly extraordinary experiences, which justifies why nautical tourism is the preference of visitors. In addition to stops at paradisiacal beaches, such as Ilha do Farol, the boats make a trip along the coast, departing from Praia dos Anjos. During these tours, it is possible to capture photographs of true works of art carved by nature.
One of these treasures is the Crevice of Our Lady, an opening between the rocks that houses an image of the saint in its center. That picture is certainly worth a thousand words, leaving viewers in awe of its unique and sacred presence.20 minutes -Admission Ticket Free5: Gruta AzulThe visit to Gruta Azul is one of the obligatory stops during the boat trip towards Praia do Farol. This unique rock formation is just one of the many natural wonders that can be seen along the route, which includes the stunning Cabo Frio Island. The entire route through the open sea is simply stunning, with an impressive palette of tones in the waters. The Blue Grotto is one of the breathtaking moments, where the waves break furiously against the imposing rocks, adding a spectacle of wild nature to the scenery.20 minutes -Admission Ticket Free6: Praia dos AnjosThe picturesque atmosphere of Praia dos Anjos enchants with its bucolic scene of boats, which throughout the day witness fishermen returning from the sea, full of fish to supply the local market. Although this beach is not the most suitable for swimming, it certainly stands out as one of the busiest and most relevant in the region.20 minutes -Admission Ticket Free7: Rio de JaneiroDiscover the exciting bus journey from Arraial do Cabo to Rio de Janeiro!
