Maceio
Maceio, the capital city of Alagoas State, is a modern city set on a truly beautiful beachfront and the perfect gateway to wonderfully idyllic shorelines both north and south. The picturesque scenery of the urban beaches present numerous jangadas (traditional sailboats) resting under the typical palm trees, beachfront hotels and apartments, and a small, but buzzing drinking and dining scene with a very chill vibe in comparison to other larger cities. Colonial buildings, museums, historical institutes, emerald water beaches with natural pools, protected reefs, and even massive coastal sand dunes are just some of the many attractions that this active hotspot has to offer.
