Ilhabela, meaning beautiful island, is the second largest maritime island in Brazil, behind Santa Catarina Island. Ilhabela is very popular among Brazilian tourists, but less known in the rest of the world. 85% of the island consists of preserved tropical rainforest, and for that reason alone it's well worth a visit. There are ample things to see and do on and around the island like scuba diving, jungle walks, a waterfall, and surfing. Ilhabela is the place to be!
