Nearly every day throughout the summer, hundreds of hikers follow its canyon-clinging catwalks and cliff-mounting staircases to the gorges Lower and Upper Falls. Throughout the journey, scan the creek and its banks for dippers. Also known as water ouzels, these solitary, slate-grey birds are often seen bouncing up and down on streamside rocks.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Banff National Park (Pass by)

We commence our tour from either Calgary, Canmore, or Banff. The journey from Calgary to Banff National Park, where the tour begins, typically takes approximately 1.5 hours.

1: Banff Gondola

Take a thrilling ride on the Banff Gondola, ascending 698 meters (2,292 feet) to Sulphur Mountain's summit in just 8 minutes. At the top, immerse yourself in sweeping panoramic vistas of six mountain ranges, the Bow Valley, and the charming town of Banff. Explore further along the boardwalk to visit the Cosmic Ray Station - a National Historic Site of Canada, and Sanson's Peak, where you can delve into the rich history of Canada's inaugural national park. (Your option of Banff Gondola or Upper Hot Springs/Gondola ticket not included)

2: Cave and Basin National Historic Site

Alternative to Hot Springs from Sept 2 until the end of December (Choose either Banff Gondola or Cave Basin, ticket not included. )

3: Banff Upper Hot Springs

Choose either Banff Gondola or Hot Springs, ticket not included. (Closed from Sept 2 until the end of Dec for maintenance. The alternative will be Cave and Basin National Historic Site.)
Entry to the Banff Upper Hot Springs is on a first-come, first-served basis, with tickets can be purchased at the reception. Your admission fee covers a locker token, and swimsuits and towels are available for rent onsite.

4: Bow Falls

5: Surprise Corner

Surprise Corner is a spot in Banff where you can get a beautiful view of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and the scenic Spray Valley. It's a great place to take photos and enjoy the stunning scenery.

(Lunch stop at your expense) Explore Banff Avenue's shops and galleries, indulge in local cuisine, shop for souvenirs, and relax in the surrounding natural beauty for breathtaking towering peaks.

7: Johnston Canyon

It's famous for its breathtaking waterfalls and stunning hiking trails. As you walk through the canyon, you'll be surrounded by towering cliffs and lush greenery. The trail leads you past several beautiful waterfalls, including the Lower Falls and Upper Falls, which cascade down into turquoise pools below.
It may be replaced by Marble canyon in Winter

Two Jack Lake (Pass by)

Popular for its clear blue waters and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

8: Lake Minnewanka

Lake Minnewanka, just fifteen minutes from Banff town, is surrounded by majestic mountains. Known as "Lake of the Spirits" by the indigenous Stoney Nakoda First Nations. Strolls along the easy walking trail or boating on the lake are excellent options in the area. In winter, it becomes a breathtaking ice skating rink, often showcasing fascinating ice bubbles formed by trapped methane gas.

Your adventure kicks off as soon as we meet you! We'll send you the exact pickup/drop-off time the day before your trip. Calgary pickups happen around 8-8:30 AM, and Canmore between 9:30-10 AM.

Need a drop-off in Banff or Canmore after your journey? Let us know in the comments to make sure there's room for your carry-ons.

The scenic drive from Calgary to Canmore is a stunning journey that offers breathtaking views of the Canadian Rockies and the natural beauty of Alberta.

Just a stone's throw from the highway, Kananaskis opens up a world of outdoor adventure. As we pass by this area, be on the lookout for wildlife!

Spotting deer, elk, and occasionally bears along the way is a common delight. The open meadows and dense forests serve as perfect habitats for these magnificent creatures.

We'll stop in Canmore, nestled in the Bow Valley, surrounded with spectacular views, on our way from or to Calgary for about 10-15 minutes for a quick stretch.

2: Two Jack Lake

Two Jack Lake

Nestled within the grandeur of Banff National Park, Two Jack Lake stands as a serene oasis, a place where natures artistry is on full display.

The imposing silhouettes of Mount Rundle and Cascade Mountain frame the lake, their grand shapes mirrored flawlessly on the waters surface. This natural reflection creates a mesmerizing dual image that captivates and leaves a lasting impression on every visitor.

Depending on the season we'll stop here for about 10 to 20 minutes

3: Lake Minnewanka

Lake Minnewanka

Stretching over 21 kilometers, Lake Minnewanka transforms every season, offering new and breathtaking scenery. From the vibrant greens of summer to the serene, snow-blanketed beauty of winter, this lake is a testament to the timeless allure of Banff's natural wonders.

Summer: You'll have time to visit the marina or explore the shoreline, maybe grab a coffee and enjoy the beauty of the lake.

Winter: Come make a snow angel, walk on ice, explore the shoreline, take stunning photos.

4: Banff Avenue

Downtown Banff

Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, the town of Banff is a picturesque gem that enchants visitors with its blend of natural splendor and vibrant community spirit.

Banff offers an unparalleled experience that seamlessly merges outdoor adventure with serene relaxation. Its streets are lined with charming shops, cozy cafes, and inviting restaurants, all exuding a rustic yet sophisticated vibe.

You'll have time to explore the area and enjoy a fabulous meal almost anywhere in town, we'll suggest our favourite places of course!

We stop here for about two hours during the off season months and once Moraine Lake opens, we stop here for about an hour fourty five minutes.

5: Surprise Corner

Year-Round splendor, its beauty evolves with the seasons, each bringing its unique charm. In the spring and summer, the vibrant greens of the forest contrast beautifully with the blue river and the stone facade of the hotel. Autumn transforms the scene with a burst of golden foliage, while winter blankets the area in a pristine layer of snow, adding a touch of magic to the already stunning view.

7: Moraine Lake Rockpile Trail

The lakes striking blue-green color is the first thing that captures the attention. This vibrant color contrasts with the deep greens of the surrounding pine forests and the whites of the snow-capped peaks, crafting a picturesque landscape that seems straight out of a dream.

One of the most iconic vantage points is from the Rockpile, a short hike that offers a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. From this elevated perspective, visitors can fully appreciate the scale and beauty of Moraine Lake. The vista from the Rockpile is one of the most photographed scenes in Canada, capturing the essence of the lakes pristine and untouched beauty, and is just a 10 to 15 minute short hike!
