WHAT TO EXPECT

After a hotel pickup, head to the central part of Niagara Falls with a guide, who will provide a detailed tour of the Canadian side of the falls, offering stories, history and fun facts along the way.

You will be contacted by email the evening before your tour with pickup time. Group participants arriving to their pickup location more than 10 minutes late will be responsible for making their way to the first winery to join the tour at their own expense. Due to border delays we are unable to pickup guests in Niagara Falls, NY for our group tour. Guests are welcome to join our tour but must find their way across the border to the Crowne Plaza or the free parking lot at the GO Park & Ride located at the corner of Stanley Avenue & Stamford St. where we can pick you up. Its an easy walk across the Rainbow Bridge into Canada. Drop off at your US hotel may be available after your tour for an additional fee of $40. Contact us in advance for this additional service.

One of Niagara-on-the-Lake's founding family wineries, established in 1982 by The Reif Family, and later fulfilled by Klaus W. Reif. Today, Reif produces wines from its 125-acre vineyard first planted in 1977 and is in the Niagara River sub-appellation where sun-loving grape varieties grow most excellently. A long growing season is refined by the river, as air currents hinder early spring and late fall frosts.

Our vineyard is planted in Ontarios warmest sub-appellation which is ideal to produce rich full-bodied wines. Our farm is also home to some of the oldest vinifera plantings in Canadaa benefit to growers in cooler climates like Ontario, as mature vines ripen earlier. They also produce wines that reflect the terroir', so when you taste our wines, you will taste the essence of our vineyard. Here we will do 3-4 wine tastings!

This unique attraction is a very popular stop on the Niagara Parkway and is photographed almost as often as the Falls! The planted face is maintained by Niagara Parks horticulture staff, while the mechanism is kept in working order by Ontario Hydro, the organization that originally built the clock. The intricate designs on the face of the timepiece are created with up to 16,000 carpet bedding plants. The floral design is changed twice each year, featuring viola in the Spring and four cultivars of Alternanthera along with green and grey forms of Santolina Sage during the Summer and Fall. California Golden Privet and Blue Festuca Grass may be used for contrast. The grounds surrounding the clock feature bedding displays and a tower at the back of the clock houses Westminster chimes that greet each quarter hour. If the door into the tower is open, you can take a glimpse at the clock mechanism and enjoy photographs that show the history of almost every face design all the way back to 1950.
