Meet the tour guide and group at a bike shop in Old Québec Citys Lower Town district. After getting fitted for a bike and helmet, listen to a brief safety orientation before beginning the ride to Montmorency Falls. This relaxing trip covers 16 miles (25 kilometers) on mostly flat terrain.

Pedal along the northern outskirts of the city, over the picturesque Saint-Charles River and along the Corridor du Littoral, a two-way bicycle-only lane.

Stop at Domaine de Maizerets, a popular urban park with walking trails, wildlife and an arboretum that has been recognized as one of Québec's 20 most beautiful gardens. At your appointed time, meet your vessel at the edge of the St. Lawrence River. Climb aboard the Louis Jolliet, named after the French-Canadian explorer. Choose from a range of seating areas, and admire views from the water's edge.

Set off to admire sights including the historic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac hotel, one of Canadas most storied hotels.

Next, continue just beyond the city to view Montmorency Falls, a thundering 272-foot (83-meter) waterfall that's even higher than Niagara Falls.

Then, continue to the historical island borough of Île dOrléans, which offers picturesque countryside scenery.
As you go, learn about the history of Québec City, the St. Lawrence River and the aforementioned points of interest from your costumed guide, dressed as Louis Jolliet himself.
