WHAT TO EXPECT

Arrive at Carleton Lodge, located at 4280 Mountain Square in Whistler, 30 minutes in advance of your scheduled departure time.

After greeting your guide, take a shuttle to Callaghan Valley to get suited up with a helmet, goggles, and waterproof gear.

Following a safety orientation, climb aboard your full-throttle ATV and set off on a trail that passes through the valleys scenic landscapes. Drive over streams and rivers and absorb stunning panoramas from mountain viewpoints.

Your tour concludes with drop-off at your original Whistler departure point.

Check-in at the Carleton Lodge - Across from the Whistler Village Gondola and next to Longhorn Saloon. PLEASE MEET 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED DEPARTURE TIME. Meet your guide and take our shuttle to the Callaghan Valley, approx 20 minutes south of Whistler village. At our Base, you will get your gear (full face helmet, goggles, gloves, and any rain gear if needed). Drivers License: Drivers must be 19 years of age + with a full (unrestricted), valid driver's license equivalent to a BC Class 5 or Class 6 license. All drivers who are under 25 years old and under are required to present their license upon check in.

All participants are required to wear a Department of Transportation approved full face helmet.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Check in at the front desk of the Carlton Lodge at least 30 minutes in advance of your 2:30 pm tour. From here, youll board a vehicle for a 20-minute journey to the Callaghan Valley, home to the mysterious Medicine Trail.

After strapping on your snowshoes, youll embark on an old trappers trail that leads deep into the forest. Gaze at giant hemlock, cedar, and fir trees, and listen to local knowledge shared by your guide.

Sample steaming tea made from the medicinal plants that grow on the Medicine Trail and refuel with the provided snacks.

PASSENGER BOBSLEIGH

Our Passenger Bobsleigh Experience is a unique activity for your bucket list! No previous experience is required. After an orientation, hop into a 4-person bobsled -steered by a trained pilot- and take an exciting ride down the worlds fastest sliding track. You and your team will race through 10 twists and turns at speeds of 125+ km/hr and feel the acceleration of up to 4 g-forces. The Whistler Sliding Centre is the only place in Canada where public can try bobsleigh and slide like an Olympian.
Passenger Bobsleigh runs rain, snow or shine so its the perfect addition to your time in Whistler, whatever the weather.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The River of Golden Dreams (officially Alta Creek) in Whistler features the epic scenery of British Columbia, best seen by boat. This 3-hour guided canoe tour during summertime provides views around every bend.

Make your way to the Carleton Lodge in Whistler, and check in 15 to 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. A 10-minute shuttle-bus ride later, arrive at Alta Lake.

Begin with a safety briefing and learn various paddling strokes. Then, hop into your canoe and set off into the water. Your guide will accompany you in a separate canoe.

Paddle through flowing lilies and around overhanging greenery along the aptly named River of Golden Dreams. Pass by the original site of Myrtle Phillip's summer fishing resort. Families of ducks and geese glide along next to you as you head into the rivers mouth.

Take advantage of the creeks current, and steer through its narrow passages with just a few strokes. As the river opens up again on the other side, you'll get picked up on the shore of the glacier-fed Green Lake.

Your 3-hour tour ends with transport back to the Carleton Lodge.

Our guides will teach you the basic paddling skills required to steer your canoe across Alta Lake and down the River of Golden Dreams. Water levels are always changing and this tour is always an adventure, be it fast moving water in the spring or obstacles like beaver dams and a portage in late summer.

ALL participants must be able to swim.

Operates in all weather conditions. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. Swimsuit and activewear are recommended. Waterproof layers such as a shell jacket and pant in the event of inclement weather.

Wear footwear you don't mind getting wet; you will be in and out of the water. A short portage may be required depending on water levels.

We also recommend a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a bottle of water and insect repellant.

It is mandatory for all tour participants to sign a Release of Liability and Waiver Form. Any participants under the age of 19 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign on their behalf.

WHAT TO EXPECT

At the base, listen as your guide explains safety details. Then, hook up with a buddy and begin your zipline adventure. The course takes you along one of Canadas longest ziplines and features dual cables so you can zip through the air alongside your friend or another guest. Youll fly high over Whistlers rainforests and surging rivers. Enjoy a complete immersion in the Canadian mountain wilderness, as you fly amongst the trees. After your thrilling ride, you will be returned to our base camp on our final zipline.

This tour includes 4 epic ziplines takes approximately 2.5 hours. We keep group sizes small to maximize your experience! Our unique system allows two guests to ride side-by-side, each on their own cable.

All tours begin at our Cougar Mountain basecamp, where guests will be checked in, weighed, introduced to the guides, get outfitted with gear and watch the safety demonstration.

To reach the first zipline, embark a 4x4 vehicle to climb up the mountain. Each of our ziplines are connected by scenic boardwalks and short forest trails. Join an evening excursion and follow cryptic radio transmissions and the lingering traces of two long-ago hikers to find the scenic trailhead where the real journey begins. This pathway leads toward a place filled with beauty, and proof that the legends of Whistler are true. Moment Factory, a global leader in video, lighting, sounds and special effects, will bring Whistlers forests to life this summer with a brand-new show.

This 1.5 km (summer) / 1km (winter) trail through an old growth forest will take visitors of all ages on an hour-long multimedia night walk in pursuit of hidden wonders.

The entire experience takes place outside within a trail network which is partially levelled but not asphalted.

The course initially heads up the hillside through a moderate gradient and a few sets of stairs before heading back down - the back half of the course is flatter. Including up and down, there are roughly 275 staircase steps.

Every evening after the sun sets, the magic of Vallea Lumina begins. This activity is family friendly and all ages are welcome to marvel at the hidden wonders of forest.

Guests will arrive at our quaint Cougar Mountain basecamp, where they can enjoy free parking, offerings from our Café like hot chocolate, cookies and s'mores kits that can enjoyed by our fire-pits and washroom facilities.

At tour time, guests will be check in by our Rangers and begin the 1km trail through an enchanted forest. The unpaved trails winds through the forest and over rivers, with magical lights and mysterious sounds guiding the way. Viewing the backside of Whistler Blackcomb from Brandywine Mountain offers a unique and stunning perspective. Brandywine Mountain, situated to the south of the Whistler Blackcomb resort, provides a vantage point that highlights the less-visited, rugged side of the ski area.

Black Tusk Trail (Pass by)

Black Tusk stands out prominently with its dramatic, jagged silhouette. The peak is characterized by its dark, almost black, volcanic rock, which contrasts starkly with the surrounding landscape. The top of the peak often appears to be a rugged spire, adding to its impressive and somewhat mysterious appearance.

Mount Fee (Pass by)

When you look at Mount Fee from the Callaghan Valley, you're greeted with a striking and dramatic view. Mount Fee, part of the Coast Mountain range in British Columbia, rises prominently against the horizon. Its rugged, jagged peak often appears snow-capped, even in summer, adding a crisp, white contrast to the darker, rocky slopes.

The day starts by riding the gondola up the mountain. From there we ski or ride and begin skinning out to the backcountry. Then we spend the day touring with short breaks for water and food.
