Caves And Falls In Belize

Belize's most popular Caves and Falls are found around the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, however for a price-wise tours selection, we recommend Cave Tubing and River Kayaking from San Ignacio instead. If you are not planning to stay in either area; adventure tours can also be booked from Placencia Beach, Hopkins Beach or even from San Pedro/Ambergris Caye, although cost of transportation will reflect in your tour price. A more secluded experience to discover Belize's Caves and Falls can be enjoyed from Punta Gorda in the Toledo District/Southern Belize. To select your activities, customize your trip from any of our suggested itineraries and click on 'activities' or 'things to do'.

  • Belize Barrier Reef

If scuba, snorkeling, or fishing are your passions, a trip to Belize isn't just another vacation, it's a pilgrimage to the longest and most extensive living coral reef in the western hemisphere, the Belize Barrier Reef. For a close encounter, we suggest to book Hotel Stays in Ambergris Caye, Turneffe Islands or Cayo Espanto. Although located at a relatively longer distance, day trips to visit the Belize Barrier Reef are also available from Placencia Beach, Hopkins Beach or Punta Gorda Hotels.

  • Mayan Ruins of Belize

Belize’s first and most lasting inhabitants, the Maya, left a rich legacy of art, science and mathematics that continues to unfold and astound us. Much of this ancient knowledge was lost when Spanish conquistadors laid waste to the extensive Maya libraries and administrative centers, but, fortunately, the Maya recorded parts of their history and predictions in stone inscriptions that can be seen today in stelae and the remains of elaborate cities, buildings and temples that survived centuries of jungle encroachment.

  • Beaches and Cayes of Belize

It's important to realize that most of Belize's shoreline is not suited for sunbathing. Abundant seaweed make it hard for most visitors to wade in the water. For that reason, most of the beachside lodges have built their own piers from where you can dive for a swim or enjoy activities like diving, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking and windsurfing. Ambergris Caye is by the far the most popular destination in Belize. It is the water sports capital of the country. Its laid-back, cool-vibe beachside atmosphere and its funky, fun and friendly San Pedro town, plus extraordinary diving and snorkeling make it all Belizian visitors' prime destination.
