Base of Torres del Paine Full Day Trekking from Puerto Natales
- Type:Hiking and Trekking Tours
- Duration:8 Hours
OVERVIEWThe Base las Torres trek begins by zigzagging through the Asencio Valley (around 90 minutes). Our efforts will be rewarded with a pristine view of Lake Nordenjköld. Afterwards we will walk under the former glaciers of a snow covered mountain, Monte Almirante Nieto, reaching a height of 2670 m above sea level.
The guide will make sure to take breaks. The path eventually slopes down, but can go up and down as much as 200 feet because it winds around the mountain along with the rushing river below. After a couple of hours of trekking we will enjoy a well-deserved rest at the Chilean refuge.
