We will begin the walk with our accredited bilingual guide at 8:20 a.m. (6 km) towards the wax palm forest above 2,400 meters above sea level. This spectacular horseback ride in the Coconut Valley is the most beautiful as it starts from the urban area and passes through an uncovered road on land sighting from there the top of the wax palm national tree of Colombia passing at the entrance of the forest of the palms, in this place is the famous Willis and the beginning of the view of a great adventure on horseback.

OVERVIEW

We started in Salento Quindío meeting point with the guide to board the transport that would take us to the Cocora Valley. Where our adventure will start walking through the artificial attractions with time for photos: The chieftain hand, butterfly, jeep, net, nest, Cocora signs, condor wings among others.

But hiking with guide to the mountain viewpoint with breaks to see and know through explanations and environmental interpretation the entire Cocora Valley and its lush forests of wax palms to descend to transport.

Finally, we make the route with the transport through the different coffee farms seeing the coffee plants and cultural landscapes until we arrive at the Buenos Aires farm, where we will be welcomed with a delicious peasant lunch and then dress up in typical costume and start with the collection, explanation of grinding, catchment among other stages of the tour to return new mind to Salento where the Pasadía ends.

We will arrive at our destination farm the Buenos Aires coffee farm where we will start with the typical costume El Sombrero, poncho and basket to start the tour with all coffee processes, including planting, care, growth, coffee harvesting, pulping, drying and catchment in the middle of the tour you will have a peasant snack with Arepa with Hogao and lemonade. You will be driven to Luger, a traditional coffee farm with a hundred years of history where you will find great views, a relaxing atmosphere but specially hectares of coffee plantations. Once in here, you will meet the tour guide and coffee expert. He will walk you along the different areas of the farm in order to explain you the phases coffee has, and he will invite you later to participate in some of them. Planting a coffee seed right in the seedlings and picking up the coffee cherries from the bushes, for example.

We start our adventure in Jeep Willys from Salento along the old road that connects Salento with Ibague, in a journey of 26km.

Then we return by Jeep Willys 7km until we reach La rodillona school, the starting point of our 17-kilometer walk back to Salento along the "national road - route of the colonizers", we will see the biodiversity of species of fauna, flora and We will learn from the myths, legends of the ancestors of the area.

On the way we make some educational stops of flora, fauna and landscaping where you can take pictures of the Cocora Valley, Nevado del Tolima and Paramillo del Quindío.

As we cross the central mountain range of the Andes at 3,340 meters above sea level towards the department of Tolima.
