- The tour begins with a one hour and 15 minute boat ride to Drake Siren Bay Station. Once there, there is a 5-hour walk along the trails around the station, where generally, you can see many animals, you can see many wildlife species on this tour, including Bairds tapir, peccary, four types of monkeys, red macaws, agoutis, coati, crocodiles and more. Monkeys, birds, peccaries, floats, tapirs, lucky sloths.

You should bring plenty of water, sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable shoes and cutlery and any medication you need. A rain jacket and dry bags for any electronic device are also a good idea. No need to wear long pants or sleeves.

There is a strict limit on the number of people who can visit Corcovado National Park on a given day, so we recommend booking as soon as possible to guarantee your place. Corcovado reservation requirements; we need your passports and full name in order to book.

We will start the tour with a car ride up to the mountains... the car ride takes about 30 minutes, once we get to the starting point we will start a hike for about 1 hour which will take us to an amazing waterfall.

We will be enjoying the waterfall for a few minutes and swiming around before we start floating down the river.

After we will start getting ready to float down Rio Claro which will take about 1 hour from the top of the mountain all the way down to the beach.

When finally get down to the beach we are going to take a walk along the coast for about 45 minutes.

We will get picked up by a car which will take us to have lunch and we will finish the tour after that.

This tour is very adventureous... you might get a bruise or two doing this tour.

The tour starts at 6 am and we pick you up in a 4×4 at our office (if your hotel is not nearby, check with us for more information regarding the pick up).
After a 40 minute drive, we arrive at Los Planes station where the adventure begins.

This hike of approximately 18-20km is characterized by visiting wild and purest areas of Corcovado, where it is possible to enjoy nature without the human bustle. During the journey we will see an impressive waterfall, we will cross rivers where we can cool off and swim. The trails that we will walk are crossing through an ancient forest of more than 4000 years old. You will walk along irregular trails, with ups and downs and you will find obstacles to cross such as streams, fallen trees....
You will have lunch in the middle of the jungle and the tour will end around 3-4 pm.

If you really want to feel nature at its best, we recommend this option. Keep in mind your physical condition. Remember that, even though you are surrounded by wildlife in the jungle, the main focus of this tour is not the animals, but to get to know the jungle and feel the nature.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Corcovado National Park

The tour begins with a 4x4 transport to the depths of the rainforest. Then, you will prepare yourselves with harnesses, helmets and vests to enter the confines of the primary jungle of Osa.

During the first hours of the tour, you will discover the primary forest, going through jungles so thick that the sun rays are only seen through the leaves of massive trees.

It is a wild journey, passing along the banks of the rivers and sometimes making the way with a machete.

After crossing a large part of the jungle, you will descend to a green stream that contrasts perfectly with the forest, from there you will cross the river canyon until you reach 4 waterfalls with infinity pools, located in the middle of nowhere.
At this point, the only way to continue is by rapelling.

After bathing, swimming and descending you will continue the path with the water at the waist, at the chest or swimming to a natural platform where you will have a picnic-style lunch.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The mangrove kayak tour leaves one or two hours before high tide. This trip explores the mangrove estuaries in Platanares River delta in the the Preciosa Platanares Wild Life Refuge. Your knowledgeable guide will lead you up and down a river under the canopy of 70-foot tall mangrove trees. Learn about the mangroves and look for all types of wildlife -- monkeys, raccoons, iguanas, Jesus Christ lizards, crabs, crocodiles, caimans, snakes, all types of birds, butterflies!

The trip takes 3 hours, and we supply snacks (tropical seasonal fruits), kayak with back rest for comfort and dual blade paddle, life jacket , instructions before the trip and a knowledgeable guide. No previous experience required.

Suggestions on what to bring:

Dry bags for all your gear, even cameras and video gear are suitable to bring if protected. Bathing suit, sunscreen, long pants and log sleeve shirt of dry fit fabric for sun protection (specially from December to April), tennis shoes or sandals with straps (shoes will get wet), light rain jacket (only from August to November), neck strap to secure glasses, hat, dry clothing, towel, plastic bags for wet clothing.
