WHAT TO EXPECT

Jaco (Pass by)

We will take you to Las Monas (the monkeys) Rainforest. It is a 25 minute hike in to the jungle you will be learning about the natural vegetation used for medicine by the natives of Las Monas.

The Experience lasts 2.5-3.5 hours depending on how long you would like to be at each waterfall and swim in the natural pools. You do not have to swim if you do not want to ;)

Once we get to the Waterfalls you will get to swim in the 10 natural pools or jump from the top of the waterfalls.

On our way back you will have the pleasure to taste the local cuisine at La Casita del Sabor (The Home of Flavor), cooked by the Grandmother of Las Monas town. It is the perfect tour if you want to be one with nature and local culture.

Hike starts easy then gets a bit more difficult so not suited for anyone with a handicap. Approximately from the start of the river to the 1st waterfall is 1km (15-20 minutes) then will see new waterfalls every 50-100 meters.

The Tour de la Paz begins in the mountains directly behind Jacó, and continues roughly half the distance to the peak of the mountain to a beautiful 35ft. waterfall (Cascada del Zorro) a perfect spot to get a little wet and take some photos.

Just beyond the crest of the mountain lies a beautiful mirador offering views of the ocean playing against sands as far south as Manuel Antonio Park, as far west as the Nicoya Peninsula, and as far north as the port city of Puntarenas.

Continuing along the mountain tops and through the rainforest, you arrive at the second, incredible waterfall of your tour with us - the exciting Pura Vida waterfall.

Surrounded by lush rainforest and crested by a natural rock platform, thrill-seeking adventurers may jump over 15 feet down into the crisp, refreshing waterfall pool below. The sounds of rushing water, coupled with the call of exotic birds combine to make this visit to the Pura Vida Falls a truly Costa Rican experience that you will remember for years to come.

To end the tour, we ride the loop that takes us right to the edge of the famous Carara National Park, and then begin our decent back to Adventure Tours in Jaco.

Our 4 hours is our half-day tour and covers amazing waterfalls, rivers, rainforest, countryside, small villages, hidden bars and restaurants. Is a great ride covering the mountain ranges Agujas and getting our almost as far as Las Delicias.

Begins in the mountains directly behind Jaco, and continues roughly half the distance to the peak of the mountain.

After the brief stop, we continue up through primary rainforest and above the canopy to the top of the mountain range. Just beyond the crest of the mountain lies a beautiful mirador offering views of the ocean playing against sands as far south as Manuel Antonio, as far west as the Nicoya Peninsula, and as far north as the port city of Puntarenas.

We continue along the top of the mountain and through the rainforest towards the tranquil Pueblo of Bijagual.

Passing by the pueblo's church, soccer field and central saloon, we soon arrive at our delicious lunch destination - El Paz Del Campo (closed Tuesdays - delicious alternative offered).

Delicias is also home to one of our favorite old barkeeps the famous Pocho! Just walking into his old western-style saloon will give you a welcoming feeling of a simpler, more peaceful way of life.

Our next stop is in the town of Bijagual, the home of the only bullfighting arena around, a beautiful town soccer field, and another authentic bar - the only one in town!The super-friendly staff there will be happy to meet you, and of course offer to make you a delicious cocktail should you decide to purchase one.

This combination is a great mix of our Horseback tour and you will also Visite pristine waterfalls while you drive your own ATV and go deep in the paths, trails, rivers and lots of muddy roads in Costa Rica, located only 10 minutes from Jaco Beach and Los Suenos Resort.

We have the best-kept horses in the area- and once you get geared up and paired with your best friend for the next hours, its time to head for the mountains. Picking up at our main office in Jaco area, you are first off to the Los Suenos Canopy Tour where you will slide down 10 breathtaking zip lines. The second to last cable is the longest in the area at 2400 feet you will zip almost ½ mile! After the tour, you will stop by the canopy office to enjoy a little pineapple and watermelon, as well as a chance to pick up a disk of photos of your tour.

After your zipline canopy tour, transportation will take you back to our main office in Jaco. Then you will have your motorcycle helmet on and learning the ins and outs of riding your own ATV up in to the rainforest Mules/Rhinos & tandem ATVs also available for the faint of heart. Within minutes you will be in the secondary rainforest on your way to an amazing Costa Rican waterfall.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your best day in Costa Rica starts when you and your party are picked up at your hotel and delivers you to the 850-acre private river valley and the waterfall called El Encanto. You arrive and are outfitted with the latest in safety harnesses and trained by professional guides to conquer the 180 foot giant.
