ITINERARY:
DAY 1:
After a rewarding 30-minute flight over the eastern Andean mountain range to the city of Puerto Francisco de Orellana, “El Coca,” followed by a 10-minute transfer in private transportation, we will welcome you at our private dock. Here, you will have the opportunity to take a break, use the restrooms, and enjoy a refreshing drink.
From this point, an approximately two-hour journey begins along the Napo River aboard our spacious, covered, luxury motorized boats, designed to provide a comfortable and safe transfer. During the journey, you will receive a box lunch to enjoy before arriving at the Napo Wildlife Center welcome area.
At this point, we will transfer to one of our paddle canoes, beginning one of the most representative experiences of Napo Wildlife Center. Our staff will take care of paddling while you enjoy a quiet and serene journey along a narrow creek. During the trip, there is a possibility of spotting various species such as monkeys and birds.
Upon arrival at the lodge, you will enjoy a refreshing drink and light snacks, followed by a brief welcome and introduction to your stay, led by the manager. Afterward, you will be escorted to your comfortable cabin overlooking the rainforest, where you can settle in and begin enjoying the surroundings.
In the evening, one of our guides will provide a detailed presentation of the activities scheduled for the following days, as well as an introduction to the Napo Wildlife Center tourism project, managed by the Kichwa Anangu Community and focused on the conservation of Yasuní National Park. You will then enjoy dinner at the lodge, marking the end of your first day in the rainforest.

DAY 2:
After breakfast, we will depart by paddle canoe along Añangu Creek until we reach the welcome area, where we will transfer to a motorized boat ride and head toward one of the most iconic places in the Yasuní Biosphere Reserve: the Parrot Clay Lick, located along the banks of the Napo River.
We will arrive just before the intense morning activity of the parrots begins, the best time of day to observe them descending in groups and feeding on minerals from the soil. At this location, there is a possibility of spotting several species, including the Mealy Amazon, Blue-headed Parrot, Yellow-crowned Amazon, and Dusky-headed Parakeet.
We will then continue the excursion through terra firme forest, walking for approximately 20 minutes until we reach a second clay lick visited by parrots, parakeets, and macaws. This
clay lick belongs to and is protected by the Kichwa Anangu Community and represents one of the most important wildlife observation sites within its territory. If weather conditions are favorable, there is also a possibility of observing various species of birds and mammals. Afterward, we will continue along a forest trail to visit the Kuri Muyu Interpretation Center, which means “golden seed” in the native language, a space managed by the women of the community, known as the mamakunas.
Here, you will learn more about Kichwa culture, its traditions, music, dances, and the ancestral use of natural resources directly from members of the Anangu Community. The visit includes time to
explore the handicraft shop, where unique handmade pieces created by community members are displayed and available for purchase as a way to support their work and creativity.
At the end of this experience, we will head to the Napo Wildlife Center welcome area, where you will enjoy a revitalizing lunch. Afterward, we will begin our return to the lodge by navigating along the main creek, where there is a possibility of observing various species of birds and mammals.
In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge. Afterward, prepare your flashlight and equipment for a night walk along nearby trails, an ideal experience to discover another side of the rainforest. During the excursion, there is a possibility of observing frogs, insects, arachnids, and nocturnal reptiles as the forest reveals its life after sunset.

DAY 3:
Enjoy the beautiful sunrise during breakfast. Afterwards, we will begin the day with a canoe ride along a small creek and a visit to one of our observation towers, the best time of day to increase the chances of wildlife sightings. From above, you will be able to observe the Amazon canopy and, frequently, different species of birds, as well as monkeys moving through the trees.
On the way back to the lodge, we will take a walk along trails surrounded by lush vegetation, passing through terra firme forests, where it is possible to appreciate giant ceibo trees, strangler trees, bamboo canes, vines, and endemic shrubs of Yasuni National Park, as well as other
species typical of the understory. Afterwards, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch and have time to rest.
In the afternoon, we will embark on a canoe ride along the nearby creeks, an ideal experience for wildlife observation in a calm and quiet environment. During this excursion, there is the possibility of spotting caimans, otters, and different species of monkeys, which often approach the riverbanks.
Upon returning to the lodge, you will have time to relax and rest before enjoying dinner in a peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by the rainforest.

DAY 4:
Very early in the morning, we will depart by paddle canoe toward the welcome area. As we travel along Anangu Creek, we will enjoy the morning sounds of the rainforest while the sunrise illuminates the Amazon landscape.
We will then board a motorized canoe for the return journey to El Coca. Upon arrival, we will
complete the check-in process for the flight back to Quito. The flight time will be confirmed according to the airline’s schedules and arrangements.
