Sail aboard our unique half day cruise, where you will enjoy a fully guided snorkelling tour of the famous Underwater Sculpture Park. Following a buffet lunch and beverages, you will sail to Flamingo Bay to snorkel over a beautiful reef in a protected marine reserve and afterwards, to relax on a soft, white sandy beach. You may get the chance to see diverse marine life such as stingrays, turtles and eels, as you float through the reserves crystalline blue waters. WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Flamingo Bay

This dive and snorkel site is located within the most northern part of Grenadas Marine Protected Area and is one of the top sites on the island. Ideally suited to divers of all levels the reef is a treasure trove of marine species, including Elk horn coral and ball, rope and barrel sponges. Fish life includes Spotted Drums, Yellow Tail snapper, Bar jacks, Banded Jaw fish and not infrequently Long Snout sea horse and pipe fish.

2: Underwater Sculptures

One of our most popular snorkeling sites is an underwater gallery of sculptures in our Molinere Beauséjour Marine Protected Area, that very much reflect Grenadas culture. Fashioned from a variety of media but predominantly from simple substrates including concrete and rebar, they create an ideal substrate, relatively fixed and permanent, on which marine life may develop. They are sympathetically located to enhance the reef, making natural use of its varied topography of craggy gullies and sun-dappled sandy patches.

As artificial reefs, these sculptures are proving highly successful so far in attracting a stunning array of varied marine life. In doing so and attracting visitors, they have indeed fulfilled a role in easing the environmental pressure on other reefs in the locality.

A key aspect to the sculptures appeal has been the dynamic changes brought about by being exposed to the power of the ocean.

The most popular areas in Grenada for hiking and trekking is undoubtedly the rainforest around the Grand Etang Forest Reserve, high up in the mountains of the islands interior. Grand Etangs varied elevations and terrains maintain several different ecological subsystems, culminating in the elfin woodlands high up the slopes of the reserves central mountains. Grand Etangs flora includes towering mahogany and giant gommier trees as well as a multitude of ferns, tropical flowers, and other indigenous plants. The lush vegetation provides shelter for a wide variety of animals, particularly for the islands many species of birds. Grand Etang is populated by plenty of frogs and lizards, as well as playing host to opossums, armadillos, mongoose, and the Mona monkey.

Begin with a half-hour stop at Fort Frederick, which features sweeping views over the island. Stroll around the fort with your guide, listening to commentary about how it played an important part in 17th-century European battles as well as the American-led 1983 intervention.

Just a short drive from the capital, Annandale Falls are enclosed in a garden of green and a wall of rocks covered in soft ferns and other vegetation. A dip is most invigorating. Or simply revel in the beauty and sounds of the falls. Spend time in the surrounding gardens where tropical flowers and trees flourish and visit the Interpretation Centre, Bar and Restaurant.

2: Grand Etang Lake

The most popular areas in Grenada for hiking and trekking is undoubtedly the rainforest around the Grand Etang Forest Reserve, high up in the mountains of the islands interior. Grand Etangs flora includes towering mahogany and giant gommier trees as well as a multitude of ferns, tropical flowers, and other indigenous plants. The lush vegetation provides shelter for a wide variety of animals, particularly for the islands many species of birds. The broad winged hawk, Lesser Antillean swift, Antillean euphonia, purple throated carib, Antillean crested hummingbird and the Lesser Antillean tanager (known as the soursop) are all common sights. In addition, Grand Etang is populated by plenty of frogs and lizards, as well as playing host to opossums, armadillos, mongoose, and the Mona monkey.

3: Clarke's Court Rum Distillery

Clarkes Court Rum Distillery is a "must see" for all visitors, the islands best-known and largest distillery and one of the most interesting historical sites. The factory has been in operation since 1937 and is situated in the southern part of the island. When you arrive you would be welcomed by a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, who will explain the history and all the different processes and stages of making fine rum. You would learn of the distilling process from sugar cane, syrup and molasses, to rum, and also the aging, blending and bottling processes of making rum. On the tour you would also get the opportunity to discover old steam engines, some dating as far back as 1886. The tour of the factory lasts about fifteen minutes, after which you would be escorted to our Hospitality Center, where you will see our unique Barrel Furniture and an interesting display of the Clarkes Court products. You are invited to sample award-winning rums at the sample bar.

The boat will be ready for you to board on the dock at Grenada Yacht Club. It is located on the dock paved with red stones under the restaurant area.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We offer a private, skippered day cruise onboard our 42' sailing catamaran. We can take a group of up to 14 guests. Please choose the right pricing option for your number of guests. Whilst this charter is self-catered (you can bring your food and drinks), we can also organise catering with a chef onboard by special request.

The day trip departs at 10 am from Grenada Yacht Club and returns around 6 pm, we can tailor the departure and return times to your schedule if needed. Our professional skipper will sail you from Halifax Harbour to Point Saline on the Southern West Coast of Grenada, with several stops along the way, including the Underwater Sculpture Park, where you can snorkel, swim, paddleboard or kayak. After lunch, you will take a gentle downwind sail with an optional stop for a swim at Morne Rouge Beach. You will enjoy the sunset on your way back to the harbour.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The tour starts when youre picked up by your local guide in a comfortable and air-conditioned minivan.

As we journey to the where the hike begins, in the islands interior, you will traverse villages and get a chance to learn about the islands rich history and culture. Before we hike, we make a stop at the Grand Etang Lake and rainforest, in Grenada's largest national park to take in the beautiful scenery. After this scenic stop, we take drive a short drive to an old agricultural estate where the fun begins.
The hike takes about 1-hour each way, on an often muddy trail. For much of the time you are going down a path cut into one side of a huge valley. You will see lots of bird life and, occasionally, monkeys.

See two waterfalls cascading into perfect swimming pools. Fish and crayfish dart around in the river. Dont worry they wont bite. You are free to swim in one or both of them. If you choose to swim in the cool river waters, you will feel wonderfully refreshed and rejuvenated. It is a perfect place to swim, relax or just enjoy the tranquility.
Once youve had enough fun, we hike back to the awaiting minivan, head down the mountain, and back to your hotel/port.
