1: Carambola Botanical Gardens

One of our favorite spots in the island, Carambola Gardens, is a paradise in itself. Decades of hard work and dedication have gone into these lush botanical gardens filled with exotic plants and beautiful animals like hummingbirds and Agouti rabbits. Carambola Botanical Gardens provide protection for iguanas at the iguana wall and natural breeding grounds for parrots. Have you ever seen the Cacao Tree before? The tree where chocolate comes from? There's hundreds of them at Carambola Botanical Gardens! You can also see the Honduran mahogany tree and the cannonball tree (You gotta check it out!)!

At Carambola, bridges connect walkways that lead the visitor through areas of flowering plants, ferns, fruit and nut trees such as cashews, soursop and carambola (star fruit). Hardwoods include Spanish cedar, Ceak, Cordia, and Carreto. Among the natives you will find Hog Plum, Gumbo-limbo (the naked Indian/tourist tree), Trumpet tree, Teta, and Masica to name a few. The palm selection consists of Royal, Fishtail, Areca, Phoenix, Pindo, Fan Date, Chamaedorea, Veitchia and the Majestic Norfolk pine that command the gardens. Magnificent Royal Poincianas await you at the main entrance.

Upon arrival please have your ticket on hand. one of our guides will assist you by having you fill out our liability waiver, then getting you a wristband and having you geared up. we will then proceed to our safety and operation briefing.
We then get on our ATVS and begin our safari through the jungle and out to the beach for a 10-15 minute stop.
while at the beach you can go for a quick dip and then back on the ATV to finish the tour. Our trails are exciting and our views are breathtaking.

Upon debarkation of your cruise ship at Mahogany Bay Cruise Center, walk past the shopping area. You will see the white taxis; at that point, make a left straight up the hill. Where you see a green gate, walk through it and walk down to where you see people holding signs. Coxen Hole Pier:
Upon debarkation, you will find the shopping area containing Diamonds International, etc. Ask a security guard where gate #2 is; it is on your left. Exit there. Guests may be confronted by other vendors offering their tours. They will be very persistent, but keep telling them, "I am set." You will see people holding signs. You might have to wait a little bit more time (at the marina or in the catamaran) to sail if the Catamaran is delayed for pickup (this rarely happens) or if other people who have paid to be in the same Catamaran are a little delayed and not past the cutoff limit. Therefore, we ask for your patience and understanding!

Finally, if you require pickup past Dixon Cove, we will have to charge extra for pickup (payable in person).. Finally, sometimes Catamaran tours are not available on certain days when the weather doesn't permit or the minimum number of participants is not met. We can pick you up right in front of the cruise port! We'll have a sign that says "Roatan Tour Guide Association" and has our logo on it! Pick-up/Drop-off are included in all of our tours. We will contact you very soon to send you more information! After booking, please check your inbox!

If you require pickup past Dixon Cove, your place of stay or hotel is not included. Therefore, you can choose the option "I will select my pickup location later" and we will message you to discuss your pickup. Keep in mind there's an extra fee for pickup past Dixon Cove, depending on where you need pickup from.

Note 1: Cruise Shippers who are interested in taking the class have to contact us to make sure we can hold the class on their cruise ship date in Roatan before scheduling the class.

Note 2: Our classes normally start between 1 and 3 pm, but for cruisers we can do them in the morning. FYI, we only hold the class when we have reservations for that day.

Any time - you are in control once on the island of Roatan. You tell us when you are ready and we'll be there to pick you up. Most of our customers are cruise ship travelers and we adjust our schedule depending on the ship's time of arrival on the island which our staff know very well. We never depart the cruise terminal without our guests unless we have confirmation of tour cancellation. Therefore, please don't stress when getting off the ship. However long it may take you to disembark we will be there waiting for you with our Roatan Adventure Tour signs in our hands.

5: Arch's Iguana & Marine Park

The iguana park began with Mr. Sherman hand feeding a handful of green iguanas multiple times per day. From about 1980 to 1994 all expenses incurred came directly out-of-pocket. In 1994 a local cameraman was visiting the park advised Mr. Sherman to put up a donation box to help aid with expenses. This park has now grown in an incredible animal sanctuary that cares for island fauna; iguanas, monkeys, turtles, and even fish.

Besides of having one of the best beaches in the world, Roatan has many interesting places and little villages to discover. This tour will take you to explore the island on a scenic and informative sightseeing tour where you will learn about our Afro-Caribbean culture and details of our history that goes back to the pirates era.
We'll visit downtown Coxen Hole, seat of the government, banks and important businesses, and head towards Dixon Cove and French Harbour, where the fishing industry is located. In the west side, we'll visit the Methodist church in Flowers Bay, the Light house until reaching West Bay Beach.
There you can dip in the ocean, choose some of the many optional activities available such as snorkeling, banana boat, kayaks, parasailing or jet ski. Just let your guide know and he'll arrange it for you.

Our Day Spa Break includes a Dry Brush Exfoliation to then indulge your skin in a Tropical Fruit Body Masque made of seasonal fruits such as papaya, mango or avocado followed by a and 60 min Swedish Massage. While in the body wrap, you enjoy a hand & scalp massage.
