Pickup details

Once your reservation is made, send us the name of the hotel to coordinate the transfer time. If you are outside the Zone, you will be assigned the closest meeting point -if the option is selected-.

WHAT TO EXPECT

After pickup from your Cancun or Riviera Maya hotel between 11:30am and 1:30pm, travel with your small group of up to 15 people for about two hours to Coba, an ancient Maya city on the Yucatan Peninsula.



Upon arrival, hop on a bike for a 2-hour guided tour of the archaeological zone. Learn about the temples, winding stone pathways, and other landmarks. When you get to the top of Nohoch Mul, one of the region's tallest pyramids, take a selfie with the stunning view behind you.



Then, you get to choose whether youd like to stay indoors or go outdoors in exploring more of Maya culture. Select from one of the two activities described below: a visit to Maya villages with a ceramics class, or a ziplining adventure over a lagoon with a swim in a cenote.



After your activity, settle in for a delicious buffet dinner, featuring regional specialties of lobster or chicken, rice, beans, pasta, sauces, fresh salad bread, and tortillas. Sip aguas frescas and wine, and for dessert, savor homemade flan.



As you enjoy your meal, watch a live show with music and dancing, an authentic Maya ball game, and an acted scene from the sacred Maya book, the Popol Vuh.



Your tour concludes with drop-off back at your hotel.

1: Riviera Maya

Travelers will begin their experience with a comfortable pickup from their hotel or a designated meeting point, depending on the option selected. They will board a modern, air-conditioned vehicle designed for small groups, ensuring a more personalized and relaxed atmosphere.

During the journey to Cobá, guests can sit back and enjoy the scenic drive through the Riviera Maya, passing lush jungle landscapes and local communities. This transfer provides the perfect opportunity to rest, recharge, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Throughout the ride, the guide may share useful information about the region, the Mayan culture, and the itinerary, setting the tone for an enriching and well-organized experience from the very beginning.

2: Zona Arqueologica De Coba

Travelers will explore the impressive Cobá archaeological site on a guided tour led by a certified bilingual guide. Surrounded by the lush Mayan jungle, they will walk or ride along ancient sacbé (white stone roads) connecting the main structures of this once-powerful Mayan city.

During the visit, guests will discover the history, architecture, and cultural significance of Cobá, including its role as an important trading and ceremonial center. They will see temples, stelae, and hidden ruins immersed in nature, as well as the iconic Nohoch Mul pyramidthe tallest in the Yucatán Peninsulaoffering a unique glimpse into the grandeur of the ancient Maya civilization.

Throughout the experience, the guide will provide engaging insights, stories, and historical context, allowing travelers to fully understand and appreciate this remarkable site while enjoying free time for photos and exploration.

3: Yuum Kin Mayan Village

Travelers will visit Aldea Maya Yuum Kin, a traditional Mayan community where they will experience authentic local culture and ancestral traditions in a natural setting.

During the visit, guests will be welcomed by local hosts who will share insights into their way of life, customs, and deep connection with nature. Travelers will learn about medicinal plants, their uses, and the importance they hold in Mayan healing practices. They will also discover the fascinating world of Melipona bees, a sacred species for the Maya, known for their unique honey and cultural significance.

As part of the experience, visitors will participate in a hands-on clay workshop, where they will learn ancient techniques to create their own handmade piece. All materials are included, and each guest can take their creation home as a meaningful souvenir.
