After picking you up from your hotel located in the city of Chiclayo, we will start this amazing tour visiting the Paseo de las Musas, a place to spend an amazing time with the family, enjoying a nice walk. This urban park has many squares surrounded by beautiful gardens and flowers, as well as sculptures of 9 muses from Greek mythology made by the sculpture Miguel Ángel Díaz Dávila.

2: Main Square of Chiclayo

The tour in Chiclayo continues until reaching the main park. The city doesnt have Plaza de Armas because it was not a place of battle. From here, you will enjoy panoramic views to commercial malls, the old cinema, as well as the beautiful Cathedral. The Cathedral of Chiclayo, or Santa Maria Cathedral, began construction in 1869 and ended in 1939 due to lack of funds. The Cathedrals design is by Gustave Eiffel and it has a neoclassical style. The city of Chiclayo has been founded in 1720 by Spanish but as a place to rest for the merchants during the colonial period. Then, we are going to reach the Municipal Palace. This Republican monument offers amazing exhibitions of local photographers in their beautiful rooms.

3: Mercado Modelo

We will end the excursion visiting the Mercado Modelo, also known as the Witch Market of Chiclayo, a place where you can find everything, including products related to witchcraft, because the shamanism is very traditional in the mountains and jungles of Peru and it is practiced to heal illnesses or love sickness. Pick up from accommodation in Chiclayo around 10am. We will start our visit with Archaeological Complex Huaca Rajada we will visit to the site where the excavations of the Señor de Sipán are located, and the New Museum of the site, where the last discovered jewels are expose.
The we will follow to the Archaeological Complex of Túcume, Valley of the 26 adobe pyramids that testify the most exceptional period of the Lambayeque Culture, with the residences of dynasties of the Rulers. Tour to the Pyramid I, Cerro Purgatorio and Mirador.
After lunch we will visit the Museum Real Tombs Of The Lord Of Sipan, located in Lambayeque, considered one of the most complete and didactic exhibitions of the discovery with the detail of the belongings belonging to the Rulers and the interpretation of the iconography of the Moche culture. Artisanal purchases in the workshops of ceramics, goldsmiths replicas of the works of the Moche.

Due to city traffic, we recommend meeting at our office in the city center, on the pedestrian street that leaves the main square. If your hotel is a little far away and on the route (towards the east of the city) we have no problem picking you up.

1: Sican Museum

Our most informative museum has rooms with very good information on the history, archaeology, geography and nature of the region. Here are two royal tombs with amazing treasures, one of them has more than 1'200 Kg of extraordinary jewels and the other is the largest tomb found in this part of the world. The museum has very accurate and photographable dioramas and a gold room dedicated to objects found in the tombs.

2: Tucume Pyramids

It is the largest archaeological site with pyramids in our region, there are 26 structures and only one is open to the public, it is called Huaca Balsas, which has very well preserved mural art with figures that represent the marine activity of the Peruvian ancestors from about a thousand years ago. and our program includes a visit inside. To get to this pyramid you walk through a small dry forest and there is a chance to see wildlife from the equatorial dry forest.
Our visit also includes a viewpoint near the site museum, but not the visit to the interior of the museum, but this is optional and can be coordinated with the tour guide.

3: Lambayeque

Our visit ends in the historic center of Lambayeque, which has classic architecture from several centuries of the colonial and republican era of our region, its buildings and churches are the most beautiful and also the most preserved, one of them is a mansion that now functions as restaurant with very good food.

When you arrive, marvel at the museums unusual exterior a replica of a Moche tomb before heading inside with your guide for your tour. While you walk around, learn about the museums history and impressive collection of artifacts from your guide. Open since 2002 and dedicated to the excavated tombs of the ancient Moche civilization, the museum is named after the Lord of Sipán, the name given to one of the bejeweled Moche mummies found in northern Peru in 1987. See gold and silver artifacts, precious stones, jewelry, headdresses and other rare treasures found in the Moche tombs, and learn about the theory archeologists have about how the Moche lived and what position the Lord of Sipán held in the ancient community.
