Very early in the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel, and we will go to the south side of Puno, until reach the peninsula of Chucuito. Located 11 miles from the city and with an altitude of 3,871 m.a.s.l., this district has main attractions such as temples, squares and viewpoints with stunning views to the Lake Titicaca.

Once we get to the port you can get on the boat and enjoy a short trip to get to the islands and when we get there you'll love it! You will visit 2 floating islands!! It's fun to jump in the Totora and the guide will tell you how these islands were built.

At the end of the visit in Uros Island, we will return to the boat to go to the island of Taquile. During the trip you can try different poses for your photos and without realizing we will have arrived in Taquile. We will take you up to the plaza of the island and there we will visit the 'Textileria' that is considered Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO!

It is approximately 1 in the afternoon we will have lunch. After knowing the history of the island of Taquile, you will have a delicious quinoa soup and as a main dish you will have, directly from the lake to your dish, a fried 'Trucha' fish accompanied by french fries and rice. WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Uros Floating Islands

Your epic tour begins with a transfer to the boat pier where you will embark on a 25 minutes boat ride to see the life on the floating islands of Uros. As you begin sailing away, you will get a pristine view of the snow capped Andean peaks at a distance.

As we will reach to the shores of Uros islands, locals will extend a warm welcome and will introduce you to their life on this man made island. People here speak Aymara, our tour guide will teach you a few words so you can greet them in their language.

The head of the community will demonstrate on how they build these islands and will share the history of it.

If desired, you can buy some souvenirs here.

The locals will then offer a short ride on their totora reed boat to the main island of Uros (this has an additional cost of 10 Soles).

You will have some free time to stroll around, the island is also made of totora reed. Once you have had your fill of the history and views, we will embark on a 2 hours journey to Taquile.

2: Taquile Island

As the boat would near the shores of Taquile Island, our local expert will be giving you a brief information of the life of locals here. It is almost a 45 minutes walk up the hill to the summit from where you will get to contemplate the views.

Taquile is home to the best Andean handicrafts. Men here do the knitting while women spin the wool. People here dress based on their marital status. Our guide will be explaining this to you in detail.

A village chief will give you a demonstration on how they dye the wool using vegetables.

After a brief introduction, we will be stopping for lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will be hiking back down to the pier and embark on our boat for a return trip to Puno. The distance of 36 kilometres (22 miles) will be covered roughly in two and a half hours. We will be reaching Puno by 0500 PM.

Our representative will meet you and will transfer you back to your hotel within the centre of the city.

Around 06:45am pickup from your accommodation in Puno from where we take you to the local harbor where we board a small motorboat.
First, we visit The Uros Floating Islands, a small community that lives on these reed Islands for decades. The Uros people built floating platforms, made reed houses and canoes, creating their little world.
After we continue our journey towards Taquile Island, located at the heart of the Lake Titicaca.
Once at the harbor of Taquile, we will walk up along a narrow path to the center of the island.
Along the way, we will enjoy stunning landscapes, including the Bolivian mountain range.

Después de una breve parada se visitará Aramu Muro Conocido también como Wilca Uta, o puerta del diablo dicho lugar está ubicado a 75 km un viaje de 40 minutos desde las chullpas de Molloco, sobre la carretera que conecta con Bolivia. Aramu muro es una roca donde esta tallada una puerta en bajo relieve, donde se puede encontrar muchas leyendas una de ellas dice que Aramu muro (dios en la época pre inca) habría desaparecido en esta puerta tallada en la piedra (Jayu Marka = ciudad de los espíritus) llevándose un disco solar de los Lemurias para no ser robado por los conquistadores. WHAT TO EXPECT

Receive a morning pickup from your Puno hotel and take a transfer to the port of Lake Titicaca. Board a motorized boat for the trip to your trips first stop on the island of Uros.

When you arrive in Uros youll have a chance to explore the unique lifestyle of the local communities that work and live on floating islands made from the lakes totora reeds. The islands themselves arent the only product made from these versatile building materials: as youll soon discover, the Uros villagers also use reeds to make their houses, artwork and boats.

Depart Uros and continue to your next island stop at Taquile. Take a walk along a lakeside trail, stopping to explore local artisan dwellings where traditional artwork is created. Stop for lunch at the home of a local lake family, who will serve you a homestyle meal of typical Lake Titicaca cuisine. Then board your boat for the ride back to Puno. Youll receive one final transfer back to your Puno hotel.

At 7:10 am pick-up from your hotel in Puno, transfer to the port. Then by confortable motor boat, (30 individual seats) we visit the Uros floating Islands. Stepping on them feels very much like a water bed (but it is quite safe). We see the houses, the islands and meet its inhabitants. Uros people are descendant of one of the oldest South American groups. Rides on traditional reed boats can be arranged. In the mornings these islands can be crowded. We visit two of the 80 islands before continuing on to "Taquile Island".

After a relaxed navigation of extra 1 hour and a half when we enjoy the spectacular views offered by Lake Titicaca, we get to "Taquile island". There a unique community can be observed. A long path gradually ascending will take us to the village (45 min. hike approx) to visit the communal cooperative where you will find handy craft textiles. Lunch at one of the many local restaurants. The views are magnificent. Then we descent 600 steps down to the main port of the island. At 15:40 hrs. Arrival to Puno then transfer to your hotel in Puno.
