Everyting was fine except for my hotel in Rio. The Days Inn Lapa. It is not in the best neighborhood. The accomodation was not good. I had 1 towel for 3 days even if I requested for some more. The soap and shampoo pumps are not working. I''m glad I brought my own. There are a lot of homeless people in the neoghborhood.
You might have given more guidance to us regarding getting from the Lima airport to the Holiday Inn Miraflores. We weren''t sure if there was to be a driver or not. We took an Uber but were accosted by Illegal Uber drivers who were located between the official Uber pick-up spot and the airport. You had to walk through them to get to the official Uber location. We only fully realized what was going on when we saw the real Uber driver, walked to him and he said matter of factly "those are the illegal drivers".
