WHAT TO EXPECT

Our certified biologists or interpreter guides will offer you a great educational adventure. At the established time our transporter will pick you up at the meeting point in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. About an hour will arrive at the area where one of our guides will greet you, give you the necessary protective equipment for cave exploration (helmet and lamp) and explain the tour agenda and safety rules.
You will walk 25 minutes along a path inside the forest, where the interpreter guide will explain the ecological importance of the Karst forest and arrive at the cave, habitat of an important population of bats and fauna. There you will learn about the importance of caves in the Taino Culture and observe petroglyphs on its walls. In addition, you will learn about the formations, stalactites and stalagmites, created by minerals and water through the limestone rock where the caves are formed.
We will continue our tour and visit a spring of crystal-clear waters where you can cool off.
We will return to the car to have lunch and arrive at a paradisiacal beach where you can dive into its refreshing waters. Return to the meeting point.

Get ready to be amazed, get wet and enjoy some adrenaline almost as soon as this adventure starts. After a few minutes of walking downhill, we will encounter the river where it forms beautiful greenish blue pools and start swimming through a breathtaking small canyon carved by the passing of the river for thousands of years. The rock formations are amazing, unique looking and there will lazily float through the canyon admiring this natures gift and later do some river trekking. The more adventurous will have a chance of some optional cliff jumping in areas ranging to 8 to 20 feet and rock boulder to access the upper part of the canyon. Afterwards we will hike through an off the beaten path trail to access some incredible caves where we will swim through them surrounded by stunning flowstone rock formations, bats and a beautiful waterfall. Good physical condition and basic swimming skills are required to complete these activities.

Grab your drivers license and head out to Hacienda Campo Rico, about a half-hour drive from San Juan, where you'll meet your guide and fellow adventurers. After a safety briefing, hop aboard a 4x4 all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that seats two passengers and get ready for a wild adventure.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Meet your guide and fellow ATV adventurers at Hacienda Campo Rico, a sprawling complex about a 30-minute drive outside of San Juan. Learn about how to safely operate an ATV before strapping on your helmet and climbing aboard your personal ATV for one.

Follow your guide out into the countryside, passing near mangroves, lagoons, and limestone formations along the way. Keep an eye out for wildlife as you zip through the area, and take a few breaks along the way so that you can listen to your guide tell you about the natural and historic features of the area.

Receive an afternoon pickup from your San Juan hotel and head south to the coastal town of La Parguera, about 2-hours away. As you drive youll enjoy the views of the Puerto Rican countryside.

When you arrive in this seaside city, board a boat for your evening experience on the water. Motor out to one of the scenic cays (islands) located just offshore to watch the sun slip into the ocean.

As the sky grows dark, continue to a nearby bioluminescent bay, watching in wonder as the water emits an eerie blue-like glow. Its a sight that can only be seen in a handful of locations around the world. Our journey starts on the North Atlantic side of the island, cruising through the central mountain region and reaching the crystal waters of the Caribbean Sea on the south side of the island. In this two hour drive, you will notice the change of the landscape from green and lush mountains to coastal valleys, while learning about our history, geography, and culture.

The first stop will be at a colorful little town where art has taken over as an inspiration to revive its urban areas. Here you will appreciate the quintessential main square, the city walls and a small village all decorated with bright art macro murals. You will also enjoy a traditional local lunch spot.

We will continue to the Southwest end of Puerto Rico; where the panoramic views from a Historical Lighthouse located atop of a 200 feet oceanfront limestone cliff will leave you speechless. See fantastic mountain views and get a chance to enjoy one of our most beautiful beaches in the area, for a bit. On the way out, we will stop for pictures and learn about the main Salt Flat Deposit on the island. 3: La Parguera

Then we will head to the beloved Parguera Fishing Village to end your fun-filled day enjoying one of our top wondersthe bioluminescent bay. You will receive a light dinner of freshly prepared empanadas and cold drinks, including local beers and sodas. Then you will be taken by boat, by a professional staff, to the only bio bay in Puerto Rico where you are still allowed to swim. As you play in the water, be amazed by how the microorganisms react to the moving water by creating a streak of glowing sparklesit's just like diamonds in the water and truly a marvel.

This is a subcontracted professional company, with guides swimming with you during the 90 minute tour. You will be provided with snorkeling masks and life vest. This is not as other tours where you are provided with some time in La Parguera and you decide if you want to go with a company for a short 45 minute ride, less than 10 minutes to swim and you cover the cost.

You will paddle your way for 30 minutes each way in a two-person kayak, through the mystical mangrove channels leading to the Natural Reserve at Laguna Grande. Once you arrive to the area of the lagoon where the bioluminescence can be best experienced, our guides will explain how this entire ecosystem works and will allow you to play with the water to see this effect (swimming not allowed).

WHAT TO EXPECT

Start your day with a pickup from your San Juan hotel before heading out to the bioluminescent waters of Laguna Grande for a kayaking adventure. When you reach the lagoon, listen to your guide provide an orientation and instructions on how to paddle and what to expect before hopping in your double-seater kayak to begin your journey.

Spend the next two hours paddling through the mangroves of the Laguna Grande's glowing waters, listening to commentary from your guide as you watch bioluminescent organisms illuminate the waters around you. Stop along the way for a snack and water break before paddling back to your launch point, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to San Juan.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your tour begins with pickup from your San Juan hotel. After boarding an air-conditioned vehicle, youll head straight for the food markets of La Placita de Santurce. On your visit, you will get to learn and taste some of our delicious treats such as quenepas, papaya, apple bananas, sweet pineapples, plantains, and more.

The second stop is just a few steps away from Isla Verde, Los Pinones kiosks where local family-owned stalls exude tempting aromas. Here you will learn how to create dishes such as alcapurria, pastellios, and mofongo.

After lunch, choose between relaxing on the white sands of the nearby Luquillo Beach after Los Pinones arrays of stalls sell everything from crisp fritters and fresh seafood to Italian-inspired pasta dishes or returning back to your hotel.

Experience the local food and rum of Puerto Rico. Join us as we head for lunch in Roast pork hwy, taste the flavors of Ron Barilitos or Tres Clavos rum along with some unforgettable local fritters.

Indulge in our Caribbean flavors, as we take you through the mountains for our delicious transitional food plate sample.

Then we will head over to a local rum distillery. Located just 15 mins outside of San Juan. This distillery produces some of the finer rum of Puerto Rico. Its small and intimate setting makes great for small groups and provides undivided attention to the guests. (Legal drinking age in Puerto Rico is 18)
