Visit: Billings (known for its extensive walking trails, many beautiful parks, several of them bordering the Yellowstone River); then, continue to Gardiner (small town located north of the Yellowstone National Park and main gateway for visitors) and the famous West Yellowstone (a gateway to Yellowstone National Park, known for the Old Faithful geyser and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone). Continue to popular ski and sport capital Big Sky and lastly, explore Bozeman (a city in the Rocky Mountains offering various outdoor activities). Entrance to national parks is not included. The city boasts a vibrant scene with excellent breweries, tasty cuisine, interesting history and culture, and some of the best outdoor pursuits in the country.Billings is also called the "City Beneath the Rimrocks". The Rimrocks, also known as the "Rims", are a 300 to 800 foot sandstone formation.
