Kansas Citys Garment District was one of the largest in the country, second only to NIn the 1930s, ew York. Dedicated workers bustled through the streets, rushing to various factories where they would sew all manner of shirts, pants, and dresses. During this time, nearly a quarter of all clothing in the United States came from Kansas City. Pretty cool!

In the early 1900s, the Savoy became one of the citys fanciest steakhouses. Remember the Glennon Hotel, where Harry Truman owned a haberdashery? He always sat in Booth No. 4, where he liked to order a well-done steak with light vegetables.

Thats the Muse of the Missouri. Kansas City banker James Kemper commissioned this statue in 1962 in honor of his son, who was killed in action while fighting the Nazis during World War II. Our hike leads you through the hilly trails of the Quindaro Bluffs. We see limestone ruins of buildings that pre-date the Civil War. We walk over a small creek, get an up-close view of the Missouri River, and walk under an active train bridge all while hearing the history of the area.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Make your own jewelry from locally-sourced materials while drinking wine!

Guests will arrive to the Madison Stitch fashion studio in downtown Kansas City and learn about the city's history in the fashion industry, meet the people who are reviving the city's place in the industry, and review many of the products we sell while learning how they're made. Guests will then choose whether to make a set of earrings, bracelets, or small card wallet. Wine will be served from the artisan crafters just down the street from the studio! Water will be available for all guests of all ages.

The activity will last about an hour; afterwards you can walk 1-2 blocks to your choice of artisan brewers, distillers, or restaurants in the arts district of Kansas City.

Heres how it works: You and your team will work together to find clues, solve puzzles, and ultimately complete a mission. Escaping will require teamwork, communication, wits, a sense of adventure, and most importantly: YOU!

Once you arrive, a dedicated game guide will take you on to your adventure and help you as needed. You will have exactly 60-minutes to complete the mission in your adventure and escape.

Games are recommended for ages 13 and up. Younger players are allowed, but some of the game content may be too difficult for them. An adult, 18 or older, must participate with anyone that is 14 and under. Also, any participants under the age of 18 will need an adult to sign their waiver.

You will be in a room with a locked door, but every door is equipped with an exit button. Should you feel the need to leave the room, you are welcome to do so at any time.

Each game is designed for one hour of intense fun! Plan to spend 15 minutes prior to each game preparing and briefing for your mission, and 15 minutes after each game to debrief and take photos.

The Escape Game experiences are very different from what you typically see in other escape rooms. These games aren't scary or dark. They are exciting, adventurous, and something all guests can enjoy.
