WHAT TO EXPECT

Meet your group and guide in Yountville in the morning. Your guide greets you, and helps you get situated with a bike and helmet that works well for you. Listen to a short orientation, and get ready to hit the streets with fellow wine lovers.

On this tour youll visit two wineries, and youll ride your bike 3-6 miles (about 5-10 km) in between the wineries. At each winery, your guide introduces you to the tasting host who tells you about the special wine-making process there. You can also taste at each winery (own expense), and purchase any bottles you particularly like (own expense).

After the second winery, your group takes a break for lunch. Once youve made a trip to all two wineries, your group rides back to the bike shop to drop off your equipment.

1: Napa Valley Bike Tours

After bike fitting & orientation (30 mins), your Tour Guide will lead you on a casual bike ride alongside the vineyards. You will visit a total of two wineries over the course of the day. Each winery visit will last approx 75-90 minutes with plenty of time to engage your tasting room host and learn about the wine-making styles and farming practices particular to each vineyard. Roughly translated, Materra means Mother Earth. The Cunat Family Vineyards, where Materra wines are grown, combine terroir, hand-selected and planted vines, a cooler climate and the extraordinary talents of a dedicated team to produce wines that are both tempting and complex. Materra wines are grown in the Oak Knoll District of the Napa Valley, a region well known for its deep, rich alluvial soil and excellent microclimates. WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Napa Valley Bike Tours

After bike fitting & orientation (30 mins), your Tour Guide will lead you on a scenic ride alongside the vineyards. Tours are led at a casual pace. The emphasis is on enjoying the scenery and discovering a local winery along the way.

The winery visit will last approximately 75 minutes with plenty of time to engage your tasting host and learn about the wine-making styles and farming practices. Wine tasting fees are not included; you will pay tasting fees directly at the wineries during your visit (fees may be waived with minimum purchase).

After your tour concludes in Yountville, youre welcome to keep your electric bikes to continue exploring on your own. Your Tour Guide will be happy to recommend favorite backroads to explore.

2: Monticello Vineyards

Monticello Vineyards is owned and managed by three generations of the Corley family. Patriarch Jay Corley, came to Napa Valley in 1969 seeking land to plant an estate vineyard. He chose a parcel in the southern end of Napa Valley to plant the first vines for Monticello Vineyards. Fifty years later, the Corley family manages five different vineyards across the Napa Valley. Sons Kevin, Chris and Stephen manage the winery. A third generation of Corleys is now graduating college and beginning to take active roles in the family business. Specific winery visits are subject to change due to availability. Wine tasting fees are not included in the price of the bike tour (some wineries may be waived with minimum purchase).
