Explore the Superstition Wilderness and the Sonoran Desert in one day on this tour that includes the Apache Trail and a ride on the Dolly Steamboat, with a driver-guide to provide more background information.

Get picked up in the morning from your Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, or Mesa hotel and travel east by van towards the Superstition Wilderness. Enjoy a scenic drive along the Apache Trail, deep in the Sonoran Desert.

Stop for lunch in Tortilla Flat, a former stage coach stop with a tiny population of just six people. Afterwards, board the Dolly Steamboat for 90-minute narrated cruise through the slot canyons on Canyon Lake.

We pickup from all locations, within our radius in Metro Phoenix, including hotels, resorts, rentals, private homes and / or shopping areas. Please note, there are no hotels within the radius that we do not pick up from. Please do not be hesitant to reserve, due to your hotel not being on the "list". There is NO list. If your hotel is IN our radius, we can pick up.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This 8-hour tour of the Apache Trail starts with an early morning hotel pickup between 7:30a.m. and 8:30a.m. There are different cities other than Phoenix this tour will pick up from, and those include most of Scottsdale, Tempe, West Chandler, Glendale, and East Peoria. There wont be more than five people on this tour with you, so your ride for the day is a comfortable air-conditioned van.

During the day, pass through the Sonoran Desert to get to the Apache Trail. Follow your guide along the trail as you learn about its rich history. The trail is 120 miles (193 kilometers) long, and there are many stories to be heard about it.

Stops made on the trail include Superstition Mountains, Tortilla Flat, and Goldfield Ghost Town. Plus you can also take a 90-minute steamboat cruise on Canyon Lake. See views from the Canyon Lake Vista before the day ends.

Your tour is over when youre dropped back off at your hotel.

Start your ride on the New River Trail in Peoria, AZ. This ride provides a safe place to park and easy access to the New River Trail. Ride up to 30 miles on the New River trail and stop off at Park West for lunch and drinks!

Start your ride in North Glendale. This ride location provides safe parking and easy trail access that allows you to ride up to 30 miles. Whether you just want to ride and explore or stop and get food along the way, there are plenty of options.

Granada Park is located on 20th Street and Lincoln. This ride starts on the Canal and takes you all the way to Tempe where you can view Papago Park, Ride by the Phoenix Zoo, and Enjoy Tempe Town Lake. You can also ride from Granada Park all the way to Old Town Scottsdale for lunch or drinks.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Black Ops Experience is a one-of-a kind tactical adventure found nowhere else. Get geared up with the same type of equipment used by special forces. Equipment includes:

-Military uniform,
-Tactical gear with body armor
-Helmet equipped with a PVS -14 night vision monocular
-AR-15 rifle equipped with a laser aiming device.

Our instructors will train you to breach doors, shoot terrorist targets and clear rooms of improvised explosive devices at our indoor facility. The adventure features the use of non-lethal ammo.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with a hike up Echo Canyon. We will not be going to the peak on this adventure, but instead, we will head off trail to enjoy a rejuvenating yoga session with the best view! This experience will leave you inspired, energized, and connected.

(We offer an option to customize the hike and yoga experience for private groups.)

Once we meet, we will go over safety and get to know each other a bit.
We ensure there is plenty of time to take photos and catch our breath. Along the way youll learn about some of the flora and landmarks in the area. Once at our amazing yoga spot, you will experience a guided session that will be adjusted to you so that you feel your best. After yoga (I will take photos for you) we will start our descent.
This is a challenging hike so hydration is key. You will need shoes with good tread and at least 2-3 liters of water. Hiking gloves, bladder backpack and sunscreen are highly recommended. Yoga Equipment is provided.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Begin your full-day tour to the Grand Canyon South Rim with pickup from your lodging in the metro Phoenix area. Board a comfortable vehicle with your driver and your group of five people or fewer and head toward the Grand Canyon.

Stop to visit key attractions on the long drive, like historic Route 66, the Cameron Trading Post, or Painted Desert. Your small-group tour can be curated to best fit your interests.

Then, take a tour of the Grand Canyon; your guide takes you to all of the best viewpoints and overlooks the park has to offer. Main attractions in the park include Grand Canyon Village, Yavapai Point, Moran Point, and Desert View Watchtower.

Join me on one of the most expansive parks in the Phoenix area and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Sonoran Desert; our own oasis in the urban desert, Papago Park.

We will go through the park on a unique path to see the best views, learn about the local flora and the local history of the area as well as some fun geological facts.

1: Chapel of the Holy Cross

We will visit Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a church built right into the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. On the sides and in the front, Sedona sprawls out majestically, a sweeping landscape of red rocks, trees, and nestled houses. Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte are visible to the south, and Cathedral Rock to the west. We will grab a bite to eat, and then we will head to the Grand Canyon!

Driving time from Phoenix to Sedona is 2 hours.

2: Oak Creek Canyon

Oak Creek Canyon is famous the world around for its spectacular scenery.

We will stop at Oak Creek Canyon Vista. Here you can get a bird's eye view of what awaits you down the road and, at the same time, shop for Native American jewelry and other craft items from the local Native American artists who set up displays along the pathways.

3: Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona, is home to much of the immense Grand Canyon, with its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history. Viewpoints include Mather Point, Yavapai Observation Station and architect Mary Colters Lookout Studio and her Desert View Watchtower. Lipan Point, with wide views of the canyon and Colorado River, is a popular, especially at sunrise and sunset.

Driving time from Sedona to the Grand Canyon is 2.5 hours. Driving time from the Grand Canyon back to Phoenix is 3.5 hours.

We will have two 15 minute bathroom breaks on the way to the Grand Canyon and two 15 minute bathroom breaks on the way back to Phoenix for a total time of 60 minutes for the 4 breaks.

WHAT TO EXPECT

When in the Phoenix area, a trip to the Grand Canyon National Park is a must.

Meet your pilot at Deer Valley Airport where you receive a safety briefing and orientation to your aircraft. Travel in comfort in either a Cessna Caravan or T207, both of which are high-winged airplanes that are ideal for sightseeing from the air and taking photos. Every passenger has a window seat with unobstructed views of the spectacular scenery below.

As you fly to the Grand Canyon, be amazed at the scenery below of the Tonto National Forest, the Red Rock formations of Sedona, the San Francisco Peaks, the Painted Desert, and the Navajo Indian Reservation. Then get an amazing perspective of the widest part of the Grand Canyon as your pilot takes you where few other airplanes are allowed to fly.

The land in Grand Canyon National Park for a guided jeep tour. WHAT TO EXPECT

Your day tour starts with hotel pickup in Phoenix, Tempe, or Scottsdale in the morning for the drive north to Grand Canyon National Park.

During the journey, travel to Sedona for pictures of the amazing Red Rocks. Then drive through beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. Explore the Grand Canyon with vista stops for enjoying the views, walking around and taking lots of pictures.

Finally, arrive at the Grand Canyon for a drive through the park, making stops at viewpoints along Desert View East Rim Drive. You'll have the chance to walk around, take photos, and stand on the edge of the Grand Canyon, plus check out El Tovar Hotel and Mary Colter's Hopi House.

When your time at the Grand Canyon is up, start the drive back to Phoenix, stopping on the way for dinner (own expense). Your tour ends with a hotel drop-off.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled trip time. Upon arrival, youll check in, confirm that your waivers are on file, and prepare your belongings.

You should be receiving two emails from Saguaro Lake Ranch. The first email is the Booking Confirmation with a link to your Reservation Portal. From there, you can sign your waiver, find directions to the meeting location and watch the Orientation Video. The second email will be the Waiver email.

Water, sunscreen, and dry bags are available for purchase on-site. Your paddling equipment will be provided at this time.

A mandatory Orientation Video must be watched prior to ariival or launching. This includes basic paddling instruction, river safety guidelines, and an overview of the Salt Rivers geography.

Your group will launch directly into the Salt River from our on-site access point. Enjoy your paddle!

Trip concludes approximately 2 Hours After Launch. Your trip will end at the Foxtail Administration Site, where a shuttle will meet you to return you and your gear to Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Together we will breathe, stretch, and embrace the beauty of the setting sun whilst enjoying the best view in the valley you can get with or without the hike option. Perfect for solo travelers, couples or small groups. We also offer private sessions!

We will begin with brief introductions and intention setting that will be unique to our group.
As we tune into our breath, I will guide you through a series of gentle asanas, helping you unwind and release any tension held within your body and mind.
Our yoga session is 1 hour with some time in the beginning and end for connecting.
We will have time to capture the memories with stunning photos against the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset before parting ways.

My hope is that you to arrive with a curious heart and open mind and leave feeling more connected to nature, to like-hearted individuals and to yourself.

( FUN FACT: 95% of those that come to this experience are beginners/brand new to yoga, so whether you'd consider yourself new or an experienced practitioner, I'm confident you'll feel at ease and welcomed)

WHAT TO EXPECT

Start your day with either prearranged hotel pickup in Phoenix (extra expense) or meet your pilot at Deer Valley Airport.

Receive an orientation to your plane and safety briefing, then put on the provided radio headset for MP3 narration in the air. You'll fly in either a Cessna Caravan or T207, both high-wing airplanes where every passenger has a window seat with unobstructed views. Enjoy informative narration from your pilot throughout your time in the air.

Begin with a scenic flight that takes you from Phoenix, over the Tonto National Forest and up the Verde Valley. Pass through Sedona to see its stunning Red Rock formations, then continue over the San Francisco Peaks, Painted Desert and Navajo Reservation before reaching the Grand Canyon.

Enjoy a 20-minute overflight of the Grand Canyon, soaring just 1,000 feet above the rim, the optimal distance for taking it all in. Then fly onward to Page, Arizona, situated on Lake Powell. Stop briefly in Page, then follow the shores of Lake Powell to Rainbow Bridge and Navajo Mountain as you make your way to Monument Valley.

Just a short drive from Monument Valley, your pilot lands at Gouldings Field, situated close to the Utah-Arizona border. Transfer to a 4-wheel drive vehicle to explore the Navajo Tribal Park by land, taking in the dramatic rock formations of the Colorado Plateau. Your Navajo guide provides insights into Navajo culture and traditions during your 1.5-hour ground tour.

Afterward, return to Gouldings Trading Post and head into the lodge for a delicious lunch that features Navajo tacos. Have time to check out the museum or gift shop before returning to Phoenix on your plane. Your full-day tour ends with return to your starting point at the end of approximately eight hours.

1: Phoenix

Departing from Phoenix enjoy a scenic, narrated flight over Sedona, overflight of the Grand Canyon's widest and deepest part, flight over Lake Powell to Monument Valley. Land and have a 90 minute 4X4 ground tour into the Navajo Tribal Park to John Ford's Point, then return to Gouldings Lodge for a Navajo Taco lunch before your return flight on a more direct route over Meteor Crater and back to Phoenix.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1: Walnut Canyon National Monument

Walnut Canyon has a long human history. Artifacts show that Archaic peoples, who traveled throughout the Southwest thousands of years ago, occupied the canyon at times. Later came the first permanent inhabitants, who flourished in the region from about C.E. 600 until 1400. You now can see the Monument in a few ways; Take in expansive views of Walnut Canyon and see cliff dwellings from a distance from the visitor center's two observation points or take one of the two trails to get close to the ancient dwellings. Rim Trail is 0.7 mile or about 30 minutes or the Island Trail which is 1 mile and takes about an hour.

2: Meteor Crater Natural Landmark

Meteor Crater, also called Barringer Crater, is a meteorite impact crater approximately 37 miles east of Flagstaff and 18 miles west of Winslow. During the 1960s & 1970s, NASA astronauts trained in the crater to prepare for the Apollo missions to the Moon. The Meteor Crater is one of the few places on earth that is an exposed, & still fully intact, meteorite impact site that would emulate the surface of the moon. In 1984 the John Carpenter movie Starman with Jeff Bridges did some filming here. Also visit the Barringer Space Museum. A walk out on the viewing platform is the best way to view the crater.

3: Winslow

Jackson Browne and Glen Frey of the Eagles wrote a song called "Take It Easy" in 1972, one of the popular lines in the song goes, "Standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona". In 1999, in response to the lyrics that made it famous, the city of Winslow erected a life-size bronze statue and mural commemorating the song, then in 2016 after Frey's passing a life-sized statue of of him was added to the Standin' on the Corner Park. So as we stop in Winslow for our lunch we can take the opportunity to snap a photo at this world famous location. Also in town is the last Harvey House (La Posada Hotel), designed by Mary Colter, opened in 1930. The hotel closed in 1957 and was used by the Santa Fe Railway for offices. The railroad abandoned La Posada in 1994 and announced plans to tear it down. It was bought, restored and now serves as a hotel. Lunch will be at the La Posada and is included in your tour fee (up to $20 per person).
